Got my notice in September of '67.

My first assignment was in South Georgia and, interestingly, I've run into two folks through car activities this year who were at the same base at the same time.

None of us knew the other at the time, but now we're talking about a "reunion" for "old farts" who were at Moody AFB, GA, at that time.

Nah, earlier this year I noticed some of my friends were getting old and I must be moving along with them. lol
I think it was March and I was enroute south.
