So Jimmy Johnson was just asked if he has a chance to race on his birthday, like today, Sept. 17th. His reply "it usually falls on a weekend so yes" DUH Not sure he commands the smarts to win the Chase. |

Halicat blows the U S picks away. First and fourth. I had first with long shot and 2 others in top 5 but no one in the exact position. Then there is, oh well, must be the desert heat!!! lol |

NASCAR inspection after the race, showed both Harvick and team mate Burton had their wheel rims laser cut by 3/1000ths of an inch in one spot ... to act similar to bleeder valves ...which are illegal in NASCAR. This allows excess air pressure buildup to escape while racing. Gray area of the rules, for sure, but was told no more use of them. We'll see how the cheaters do now |
