I have ONE single ticket. It is $ 70 and you would not be sitting with a group of POA folks. You would be able to socialize before and after the meal with everyone but for the 45 minutes or so that we are eating, you would be sitting with strangers. Sandy, myself and Richard will also be sitting with strangers at three diff. tables. Please let me know if you are interested. Oct. 7th, Saturday. |

Ed, not to detract, but....... in your neck of the woods.... ever do this? Looks great to me.... an opportunity to see/use some fantastic instruments rarely seen/used by the public. They have a 160-year-old telescope there!!! Sweet.

Geno, I have never gone to the observatory. I finally drove past it about a year ago. It is in the Hyde Park section of Cincy, about 7 or 8 miles away. They have a write up in the paper about once a year. I would go visit it except they are only open at night and I usually go to bed early. lol Maybe I will go someday. Isn't Mars supposed to be very visible this week? |

that email floating around about Mars is NOT based on fact... sorry... it is an exaggeration of the August 2002/3 approach of Mars, but nowhere near 'the size of the full moon' thingy
