As most of you know my mother has been in a old person's home for sometime now.She has little money if any at all so they want to throw her out on the street. So she called me to talk about it and to see about all the empty room's I have.(I have a 6 bedroom 5 bath home) But instead I have a better idea, maybe just maybe she could raise some money by making the cup holder's Chrysler used to make and sell for $60.00 I thought if she could make them(these will be all hand made as her old sewing machine broke down)I would install them and market them for her for as low as $39.99.And with woodward coming up this would be a great time to take advantge.I have some pics. (I will ship for the same price) ------------------ |

quote: What the @#%@. Is that a joke? They're gonna throw her out, you have this huge house, your MOM (the one that raised you) wants to stay with you and you have a better idea???? To get this old lady to make these by hand for $39? For arguements sake, let's assume shipping/handling and all material costs are free. So at $39 profit each, how the hell many of these would she need to sell MONTHLY to survive? Assume total cost of the home is $1,000 for room, board, food, incidentals, nurses, doctors, medication, etc. She'd have to make AND SELL 26+ EVERY MONTH for the rest of her life. I sure hope you're joking and not that cold of a baztard. |

I have showed all the PM'S I have received to the manager of the home. He said with all the responses we have gotten, he will let her stay for another month, so she might complete her task (and some of her friends are going to help her) All the phone calls I have gotten, private messages and letters she will be going for a bit. So if you want on the band wagon, let me know. Now for YellowFever, just to explain, she is a strong willed person. She only wanted to throw a blanket in the corner of the boot room. She didn't want a whole room to herself. This way it will work out better as ........... This message has been edited by meancat on 08-11-2006 at 08:48 PM |

Robert - you'll be glad to know that Meancat has hired four illegal aliens to assist Mom with the sewing duties [former belt and purse makers from Nogales]. Mom Wilson has moved over to the phone order desk, which is less stressful for her. I called yesterday to chat with her,,,,but she was away from her desk,,,but the message machine was clear: Press "1" for English. Press "2" to disconnect until you have learned to speak English Way to go good Mother Wilson! |
