AS usual, I decided to try and put my EZUP canopy in the trunk of the Dart knowing it would be HOT and in the sun. It fit and had room for our chairs, cleaning supplies and some water for me. Before I even got the canopy out TUIB ask if I had a canopy. Yes, he helped set it up but was challenged doing manual labor, then before I had time to get my chairs out it was full of chairs under it and TUIB wanting some cool refreshments. At least Cookie didn't have to melt in the sun waiting for Larry to bring her more Twinkies. I overheard a conversation that she wanted a new car that had a golden sponge looking exterior and a white interior to drive during the next dream cruise I had thought about taking the Prowler and the Dart, but we had to go to the southside of Indy (show was about 1/2 way from home to drop off point) to drop off a car for a friend so we took it and left it close to the show, but due to the rain I ended up leaving early and taking the Dart home and getting Sue's car and getting back in time to see TUIB get his award and mine standing in the rain. Had we taken both cars we would have left and went home and missed the excitement of standing in the rain to get our awards. Sue had taken the Prowler to a show on Saturday and got another dust collector with it, so today was the Dart's day |

quote: yep, manual labor AIN'T my strong suit.... ....WildKat was kind enough to share his tent(only $5 per head), but he was lacking in refreshments, he only brought enough water for himself.....as the sun got brighter, and Cookies Twinkies began to melt, we started to pass out from lack of water, he just chuckled and said "drink beer"....so we did .... ....great day at the show, lotsa nice cars and good friends.....Cookie won 2 trophys, one for the car and one for the best bikini I think(she looked especially hot yesterday)....... ps....a buddy of mine "DakotaRT" paid my entry fee, Mr. Ed bought lunch(old sandwiches left in his trunk from a previous show), WildKat supplied the tent and a mug of water(we all drank out ot it while he wasn't looking, even the Lucid Eye), I won a door prize and 2 trophys....A GOOD DAY BY ANY MEASURE more of the New Castle Gang... quote: I paid his entry fee and even had to go a pick up his door prize. The only reason he went up to pick up the trophies was because he was standing under some cover from the rain behind the announcer. Mr. Ed and I had to tell him that he won because he couldn't remember his car number. He didn't believe us and had to walk over to his car and ask Cookie what the number was of the car. We know who will be buying the chicken this Friday!!!!! This message has been edited by dakotart1 on 06-26-2006 at 03:29 PM |

Had to "borrow" a few quarters from the collection plate. Maybe you'll be free next sunday Larry, we're taking a trip down Pendleton Pike. I think there's still a couple of clubs you havn't been barred from. |
