That one photo is half the city almost. Not much going on, and I like it. I know most of the people who live here. That's what I was trying to explain to Ed one time. If you get stopped by a cop ,you know him. Our kids grew up together and we sat side by side at the school ball games. I f something is out of the ordinary it shows up pretty quickly.
If you want to get into trouble,party,gamble,chase women,.etc. it's 12 miles to Knoxville. The building at the end of the street is the barber shop. That's where you catch up on the latest gossip.

This town sold slaves about half way down the street on the left behind the building. Cotton was barged up the river to our huge knitting mill,but it closed about 80 years ago. Tennessee pearls were on the bottom of the Clinch river here in town and sold to a jeweler in New York. The city was originally named Burrville after Aaron Burr but after he killed Hamilton it changed its named to Clinton.
