Carly wasn't talking about herself defeating Trump OR Clinton and she said NOTHING about Hillary "mopping up the floor with him".....She was simply making an observation and stating her opinion..... Her statement seems pretty mild in light of some of Trumps crude remarks and insults..... This message has been edited by bjprowler on 12-09-2015 at 12:42 PM |

Sorry BJ ,I thought you were speaking of this quote: http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/262489-fi orina-trump-a-gift-wrapped-present-for-clinton I had heard the full quote. It was a major faux pau on her part! ------------------ This message has been edited by mslc10 on 12-09-2015 at 07:48 PM |

OOPS!....You're right, Mark.....The article I read had only quoted part of what she said....Your quote appears to be more complete.

He is viewed unfavorably by 64 percent of women and 74 percent of nonwhite voters, according to a November ABC News/Washington Post poll. And that's what the GOP is worried about....."the damage he is doing to the party". So do you think he is doing this so GOP will ask him to leave and run as independent? |

I hope that in the very near future the GOP will "bite the bullet" and come out in strong opposition to Trump in order to save the brand. He has become the stereotype "Republican villain" that will bring Democratic voters out in droves on election day to insure his defeat......Hence, the reason Hillary wants him to get the GOP nomination. My attitude is to let him run as an independent and suffer the consequences if necessary rather than give in to his extortion and demand that he be given the nomination. Again: He is viewed unfavorably by 64 percent of women and 74 percent of nonwhite voters, according to a November ABC News/Washington Post poll. quote: Are you serious? I consider myself to be a republican, but would vote instead for the BEST CANDIDATE regardless of party lines ... that said, I am sick and tired of the Super PAC funded career politicians, and would NOT vote for any of the other lying bozos, except for maybe Cruz, if Trump is not the candidate. There is NO candidate from the democratic side that is not a blatant thief or whack job. Save the brand ... how absurd! |

Extortion? Demand he be given the nomination? He's winning by a landslide in all the polls! Doing exactly what you have to do by GOP rules to get the nomination. God BJ the rhetoric. |

So how is your boy doing in a "head to head" match up with Hillary?..... (Hint:..She's rooting for Trump to win the GOP nomination)
"Clinton's biggest lead is against current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump: She's ahead of him by 11 points among all voters, 52 percent to 41 percent, and a whopping 42 points among Latino voters, 69 percent to 27 percent." This message has been edited by bjprowler on 12-10-2015 at 12:34 AM |

The United States, just like this forum allows everyone to have, and to voice, their own opinion..... Mine is that Trump is not the most electable GOP candidate for 2016. His bombastic, inflammatory and insulting rhetoric has/will turn the public against him and insure a Hillary (or Bernie) victory if he receives the GOP nomination. |

I dunno....he speaks what most of us are thinking but afraid to say for fear of demonization. but he doesnt care which is a good lesson for all.if nobody cares what others think or label you as, their demonization gains no traction and eventually becomes irrelavent! remember how "gay" was such a derogatory statement? now its mainstream and people are flaunting it .why? because THEY didnt care what you thought!YOU just have to accept them due to freedom of expression! ------------------ |

On the other hand, Trump is so outrageous that a lot of folks might be inclined to come out to vote FOR A CHANGE. If it is the same old crap, the turnout might be really low, Trump COULD be the impetus to get out to vote. Who knows. There are a lot of folks talking about the election that is still 11 months away and a lot of them are happy Trump is not taking any chit from anyone, which is a HUGE change. |

The worst that can happen is that Hillary will win, but at least Trump got the dialog started on issues such as race and immigration that everyone else dances around. |
