WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court said Monday that President Obama could not move forward with his plans to overhaul immigration rules by providing up to five million people with work permits and protection from deportation. A three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, in New Orleans, ruled 2 to 1 against an appeal by the Obama administration, saying that a lawsuit brought by 26 states to block Mr. Obama’s actions was likely to succeed at trial. The ruling is the latest blow to the president’s efforts to circumvent congressional inaction on immigration by using the power of his office to reshape the way the nation’s immigration laws are enforced. But the ruling may have come just soon enough to allow Mr. Obama’s lawyers to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court for consideration next year. Administration officials are hoping that the Supreme Court will overturn the lower-court rulings and let the president carry out his immigration program. |

I'd like to hear some feedback on bush and kasich response to deportation. They act like it is impossible to do! These are some numbers....... The number of interior removals under the last six years of the Bush administration (the first two years are unavailable so far) was about 475,000. From 2009-2014, the Obama administration removed about 950,000 from the interior of the United States. If you research these numbers you will find that obamas numbers are inflated due to difference of the description of a deportation,but nevertheless 475,000 in 6 years is proof it can be done. ------------------ |

I can't believe the politicians saying we can't afford to send back the illegals. If we just enforced the e-verify, and no benefits for them, they would go home on their on and take their families with them. They couldn't afford to stay in this country. Get in line like the million of people who have started their paper work to become citizens and are waiting in line. |

reagans biggest mistake was Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. that was 29 years ago. do you have any idea how many voters those 3.2 million illegals have made since then ?! on the loooow side lats say 6.4 million . so now you have 3.2 plus the 6.4 that the eldest is 29 years old . on the conservative side thats 9 million liberal voters !! Of those 6.4 that are 29 i'll bet there is another 3 million offspring that will be old enough to vote for 2020. It was like "Tell A Friend" to,,,,"Come on Over!" Now we have another 25 million law-breakers here.....some good people,,many weak and bad ones unwilling to assimilate into our culture and language. |
