This isn't Europe but it's close.

How far will this go? I thought our next Queen was going to be Hillary, I bet she's against this happening.

I don't think they would want to take on the $17,500,000,000,000 we owe.

And start spending it ONLY here at home, and not every where else in the world .... charity starts at home, and still, you don't "give away" more than you make

A lot of people want us to rush into another war and we haven't paid for the last needless war yet. It doesn't make sense to let things in this country fall apart and start another needless war then the same people complain about the national debt and deficits. This is insane thinking. I am very conservative fiscally.

I am not totally against all wars but you have to pick and choose for the right reason.

War is very good for the economy. I am not saying it is a good thing, but all the folks who make weapons, uniforms, MREs, ammo etc, employ a LOT of folks. That is not a good reason to go to war, but it does affect the economy.

I hesitate to disagree with you, because you get so upset when I do, but this is flawed logic. Google "Broken Window Fallacy".

Not only is there the lost opportunity angle but where do you think the money is coming from to build all the weapons and make all the boots and uniforms? Would it not come from a place that has no money,,,,,the taxpayer?

Yes it helped pull the US out of the great depression. But times are different now and it's just bad arithmetic.

4,500 Americans killed, a far larger number permanently wounded, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed and displaced, the trillion dollars of US taxpayers' money squandered (and the resulting cutbacks through sequestration), the continued costs of the war through veterans' benefits and interest on the national debt, and the anti-American extremism in reaction to the invasion and occupation which has spread throughout much of the world all could have been avoided if the Democratic-controlled Senate hadn't voted to authorize this war and occupation.

As of TODAY, the Current Outstanding Public Debt of the United States is:

$17,742,108,970,073.37

Every man, woman and child in the United States currently owes $58,396 for their share of the U.S. public debt

Seems the party so close to some's heart who they support entirely without reservation (the union said so),,,,are a huge part of the fault for 'needless war' and out of control $pending...... hardly fiscally conservative..

That's pretty lame with that snow job George Bush had Collins Powell do his dirty work at the UN. It was their flawed intelligence that led us and a whole bunch of other countries into this needless war weather you want to admit it or not.
I think all the other countries that made up that coalition got duped too.

A war time economy is a house made out of cards. It's like going to Vegas with only your credit card. The end of
the month the bill is still due.

Lame? What's lame are those who continue to stand under the cross, continually proclaiming the crucification of Geo. Bush for the Iraq war,,, who had 'no vote' in Congress for the authorization.

What's really lame are those who voted for Obama (twice),,,and seeing this admininstration doing 'no wrong' while continually burying Americans in more excessive debt, increase the Welfare rolls, and making idiotic decisions over foreign policy with the likes of Hillary 'Benghazi' Clinton and John 'Swift Boat' Kerry.

SIX YEARS later,,,,,Still waiting for HOPE & CHANGE......

Have they found the missing plane off the coast of Australia? How can they not find a huge plane. It had sensors telling them where it was located. I guess it never existed since they never found it !!! Same as the weapons of mass destruction. How hard would it be to hide a small bomb, compared to a plane ? I know, the ocean is huge. So is the land mass.
Democrats say the weapons never existed. That doesn't prove it to be true.

As far as who pays the bill for war.
There are lots of people working, making those meals, weapons, boots, ammo. They make money, they spend money but I know "trickle down economy" doesn't work for some folks. Those folks pay taxes on their earnings, spend money for gas, food, clothing and buy houses or pay rent. The money keeps getting spent, over and over.

Beachie, I would be disappointed if you didn't disagree with me (or EVERYBODY else except for your three or four supporters). You know my opinion of you.

"Have they found the missing plane off the coast of Australia? How can they not find a huge plane."

Glad you brought that topic up Ed..... At our saturday car show, two of our friends were there that both fly 747s. One flies commercial airliner to Hawaii every week, and the other flys worldwide for a cargo company. BOTH pilots say the plane most likely landed on land,,,,passengers executed, and is held by some terrorism group of whack-jobs. They both claim that every plane flying in the world is tracked,,even if all on-board systems are turned off,,,and that China knows where every plane is located at every minute. Makes one wonder.....
