A woman in her late 20's came to the ER today with her 8th Pregnancy. She told the first doctor she saw: "My Mama told me that I am the breadwinner for the family." He asked her to explain. Mama said that I can make Babies ~ and Babies get money from the State for the family. It goes like this: The Grandma calls the Department of Child & Family Services, and states that the unemployed Daughter is not capable of caring for all of her kids. DCFS agrees, and tells her the Children will need to go into foster care. The Grandma then volunteers to be the Foster Parent, and receives a check for $ 1500 per child each month in Illinois. Did somebody say "Illinois" ? Total yearly income: $144,000 tax-free and nobody has to go to work! In fact, they get more if there is no Husband/Father/Man in the Home ! Not to mention free healthcare (Medicaid), plus a monthly card entitling them to free groceries and a voucher for 250 free Obamaphone minutes each month. This does not include WIC and other welfare Benefits...that they are "entitled" to. Indeed, Grandma was correct that her fertile daughter is the"Breadwinner" for the family. This is how Politicians spend our tax dollars. When this generous program was invented in the '60's, the Great Society architects forgot to craft an end date . . . and now we are hopelessly overrun with people who vote only for those who will continue to keep them on the dole . . . . No wonder our country is Broke ! Worse, the Muslims have been paying attention, and by mandating that each Muslim family have eleven Children, they will soon replace the voting bloc above and can be running this Country within 25 years. Read the above again, until it sinks in, and then ask yourself if your Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren will survive these severe changes to America ! Are You alarmed yet ? Is anybody listening ? Is this a Great Country or What . . . ? Don't forget to pay Your Taxes! There are a lot of "Breadwinners" depending on You ! |

Q: Does Illinois pay a grandmother $1,500 per month per child to be the foster parent to her eight grandchildren? A: No. State officials have no record of such a case, and state law would not allow it. This second-hand story spread by a Danville urologist isn’t true. For longer analysis: And of course: According to payment rates published by the State of Illinois' Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), monthly payments for licensed relative home care range from $384 to $471 per child, depending upon the age of the child: Read more at http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/breadwinner.asp#OLLpG3JwEr9lRj0r.99 ------------------ |

Same problem occurs here in Michigan. Mom's tell their daughters to go out and get pregnant to get their own check. Women have children with multiple men (can't call them fathers) and there is no male in the household. These kids don't receive the support that they need to growing up to become productive members of society. Education is sub-standard and the cycle repeats itself. We have multi-generational families that don't know anything except welfare and government support. Work, that's a foreign concept. |

Like a person, or "vegetable" laying there on life support with no hope of recovery ... yes, it is painful, but pull the plug and end their "limbo". Same needs to be done in these cases ... quit, cold turkey, then let's see the chaos ensue, huh? |

This is a tough group. Last year in the US, 40% of children were born to unmarried mothers. Think about that for a minute. |

A local reporter was interviewing a man in Detroit who told him that he and his female companion (not married) have had 6 kids who grew up and the girls have had kids (not married) and they all collect welfare, food stamps, etc and collect more than $100,000.00 a year. He said there was no reason for any of them to work. Another interview was with a woman who collects the free phones every day and then sells them on the streets. She showed him the more than 20 she had in her purse. |

To clarify my 40% of all children born last year to unwed mothers, 71% of black children, 53% of Hispanic and 29% of white children were born to unwed mothers. Another interesting statistic would be the distribution receiving public assistance. If I continue to dwell on the facts, I'm sure to be called a racist. |

According to payment rates published by the State of Illinois' Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), monthly payments for licensed relative home care range from $384 to $471 per child, depending upon the age of the child:
The maximum monthly payment (for a child age 12 and over) is $471 per month, not $1,500 per month, so the largest amount of money a foster parent caring for eight children would receive in a month (assuming all of those children were at least 12 years old) would be $3,768, for an annual total of $45,216 — a far cry from the $144,000 yearly income claimed above. (And even the $45,216 figure is a generous projection, given that it's an obvious impossibility for a woman who is pregnant with her eighth child to already have eight children all over the age of twelve.) Social Security is not an entitlement, as much as the demos would like to say so. It is money that was taken out of your pay check for all the years that you worked. No one who gets welfare or other ENTITLEMENT checks paid one cent into it. That is the big difference!! Also medicare is deducted out of social security checks. MEDICADE is an entitlement that welfare recipients pay nothing for, different than medicare. Most people who paid into social security, will never get out all they paid into it. |

quote: First, I actually haven't collected any SS checks yet, I will get my first one next month. I don't care what they call it if I get my check I am happy. I really think people make a big deal out of this entitlement crap. How long has SS been under the entitlement program, I really don't know but I will bet it has been many years and all of a sudden due to silly politics it becomes an issue. This is from Snopes.com Likewise, the word "entitlement" HAS LONG BEEN the standard terminology for payments made under government programs that guarantee and provide benefits to particular groups. Persons who have demonstrated their eligibility to claim such payments are entitled (i.e., "qualified for by right according to law") to receive them. The usage has nothing to do with pejorative connotations associated with the word (e.g., "a sense of entitlement") which are often applied to denote people expecting or demanding something they do not merit.
