Obama lie?????? Come on, the guy used to be a neighborhood organizer for crying out loud.
I was surprised he didn't insist they get better healthcare in Iran.

I am trying to understand where all this hate for Obama is coming from. I am neither democrat nor republican. I simply want a good leader in place that I can support, regarless of his party affiliation, to improve my life and and that of those around me.
And from where I sit, I seem to think that the current president is doing a pretty darn good job, especially given the fierce opposition he is facing from republicans.
Is all this hatred because he is democrat or because he is black? I was not going to say anything with regard to this topic, but as an outsider, who does not have a dog in this race, I thought I would chime in
It seems that you can't get out of your own ways to put down just about anything this administration does. Peace out!!!

Personally, I did not vote for him either time. Not because he is a Democrat. Not because he is black. Long before the elections, I did not like the tone of where he wanted to take this country.....socialism in my opinion. He is bringing down this country every day. He does what he wants, does not honor our constitution, does not honor our military and this country is being viewed as a joke. Yes, there is a Congress and a Senate (with a lot of ridiculous people in them), but ultimately, he is responsible for being the leader of this country. I have no respect for him and his "leadership" which is no more than the disrespect he has for this country and the people who live here. Just my opinion.

If I put down everything I dislike about this bum, it would be the longest post I ever made on POA.
I can find out almost anything about anyone who posts on POA. I can find out your addresses, old addresses, cars you own, used to own, who you are related to, and on and on.
Yet NO ONE knows anything about Obama. And you can't find out anything about him. It is all sealed or obliterated.
He never had a real job in his life. He can't speak without a teleprompter, watch him on TV and he will always look from right to left, NEVER straight ahead since he has to look at the teleprompter to be able to speak in a sentence. He even took teleprompters to the school to speak to third graders. The media is given pictures to use, they are not allowed to take pictures at his NEWS conferences.
He is in way over his head, for sure. He keeps appointing very questionable people to important jobs.
He couldn't wear an American flag on his lapel until his advisors finally convinced him to do it. Michelle wanted to know what the big flap was all about.
His GOOD friend was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright who then said, "NOT GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD DAMN AMERICA" You haven't heard his name since.
His mentors were known Communists. Now he is appointing folks that were known radicals in the 60s to important positions.
He probably isn't qualified to be President for numerous reasons. Like being a citizen, etc.
The Republicans in the House feel it is their duty to prevent him from ruining the country to an extent that is beyond what he has already done.
YOU CAN KEEP YOUR INSURANCE AND DOCTOR. lol
We will end the wars. Five yrs later we are still going to end those wars. We are going to close Gitmo.
The IRS didn't target TEA PARTY.
The Fast & Furious, and his right hand man is still in charge. Even after Americans got killed
Benghazi and all the lies. Even after Americans got killed.
The press has had a "hands off" policy all along with him and that is probably because they endorsed him and don't want to look foolish. I don't know if that is because he is a Democrat or Black but I do know if he was a Republican and White, he would be getting crucified in the media every day and night.
I agree he is being blocked by Congress, but you have to learn to work with the other party, not keep passing decrees, it comes back to haunt you eventually, in the long run. Those guys resent being told, YOU WILL DO THIS or I will veto your vote.

Back in Jan 2008 I stated I hoped Obama would defeat Hillary. Boy was I wrong.

Hamlyn, Even though Obama is only half black, and the most incompetent socialist ever, I still respect him as our Commander in Chief / President of the United States.
That said, I've got to check on my stocks.

I also agree he is being blocked by Congress and with ypur reasons.

Here is another reason of why he does not get any cooperation from Congress. This has been his modus operandi since he took office.

FALTERING OBAMA REVS UP ATTACKS - President Obama is back in attack mode. Obama’s tone, which was briefly contrite following his admission that he had misled voters about being able to keep their insurance policies, turned combative during his West Coast campaign swing. He blamed Republicans for problems with his faltering health law, promising that “anybody who is going to keep on pushing against that, they will meet my resistance.” Obama is very much reverting to his 2012 playbook: firing up the base with sharp attacks on Republicans and personalizing policy differences. That’s one thing in an election when he could pin it on an individual opponent, but quite another when the issue is a law passed with only Democratic votes and enacted by his own administration. While liberals may be feeling less bilious as signups for free and subsidized health insurance pick up, the problem is all about the people who are losing coverage and jobs because of the law.

Looking at your posting history, those of you that currently oppose Obama had no criticism of G W Bush, his performance in office, his appointees, or any other aspects of his presidency, but were quite vocal about the president before him. I happened to have loved that guy, despite his transgressions. Again, I am finding your criticisms to divide more on party lines and race and less on what is truly relevant.
I will never change your cynicism, but thought I would offer up my perspective. It is truly a shame when we get blinded to the point of hatred and intolerance.

I will probably not venture in this political off-topic forum again... but thanks for reading.

My opinion is that Obama has polarized the country more than any politician in history. I called him an empty suit before he was elected and he has proven that, time after time.
The Democrat supporters also are blinded by party lines.
They reelected this guy even though he can't do anything correctly, including releasing his college transcripts.

Robert, remember when real estate was going through the roof a few years ago? Then the bust. Get ready.

I agree my opinions are based on my Conservative values which means I will usually (but not always) vote along party lines. Why this has to be about race I will never understand. As you mentioned I was also very vocal about Clinton and he was white. So why is my criticism of Obama any different. There may be a greater volume of criticism against Obama, but that is because there has been more to criticize and Obama is a far far left liberal with progressive (read socialist) ideals which are the polar opposite of my own and I think he is bent on changing (read destroying) our country by any means to his progressive vision. I think that is truly relevant. I have the same feelings towards Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Bill Clinton moved more to the center during his tenor. If anything Obama has moved even further left than he pledged he would be.

Bush was not a true conservative. I could point you to many examples where I was not happy with President Bush. But there is no point since I will never change your cynicism either in regard to this must be a racial issue.

One last thing and then I will get off this subject. While I and other conservatives have been critical of Bush., I don't believe I have ever heard a liberal be critical of Obama or any of his policies. Is that due to race or political perspective. In fact there has been no criticism from a liberal of any Democrat that I can recall. No politician is that perfect.

Thanks for reading my opinions as well. Other calling me a racist, this post was otherwise civil which is the way it should be.

Obama socialist? Must have missed the point where he advocated for collective ownership of the means of production.

If you give credit and blame to the president for everything that happened during a presidential term Obama looks like the biggest Capitalist this country ever had. The stock market has flourished under his tenture. It is entirely possible that no one will ever top the stock market gains made while he has been president. Jmo

Has your wallet gotten fat in the stock market? If it hasn't you need to fire your financial advisor.

85 billion a month in freshly printed money via the QEII is the primary reason for the stock market gains...and yes, obama will get the credit/blame for that...when this house of cards collapses...and it will.....i hope he is blamed for it....its far worse that the home lending debacle of the past...and almost no-one is talking about it....very strange days indeed

Hamlyn..........I don't believe we know each other, so I'm asking you to not presume anything. I never said I hated Obama, I never stated my opinion of Bush (which was not your question). I don't like the direction Obama is taking this country. I don't like the arrogance he displays. I don't like that he is forcing things on us that we don't want. I have two sons that served in the Air Force. One for 4 years and the other just retired this year after serving 21.5 years in the Air Force/Special Ops. I don't like the disrespect he and the Defense Secretary show the military. I don't like that he thinks he can do anything he wants and not be accountable. Previous Presidents are part of what this country has become, but he promised Hope and Change. All he does is blame everything on everyone else. He was elected and in the end, he as President has to accept responsibility and accountability. That's my opinion anyway. Which is my right to state when your question was asked.

I have been talking about it for about 6 months. The collapse is going to be gigantic. Besides printing money, the rest of the world has lost confidence in our economy and we don't have the gold to back up anything. We owe money to almost every country that is not third world, but we give them money anyway.
The stock market is way up and when the big guys decide to unload, YOU will know about it a couple of days later, a bit too late to unload your meager shares.
You are way ahead, just like in a casino. Are you going to leave with the cash or stay since you are on a roll?

What job has he done well?? NSA,IRS, Bengazi,Fast & Furious, Health care(income redistribution), giving terriost F16's and Tanks, ect, ect. He has managed to run up the largest debt in history. He is not a leader and makes his decissions by committe. He has never run or managed anything and that is reflective of the way he governs. I wish he would succeed in something.
