AC, I guess in a way he is and was telling the truth. But not for the reasons he would like us to believe.

One definition of transparent is.

easy to see through, understand, or recognize; obvious


In his case it has become easy to see through all his BS and lies. It's easy to recognize and understand he has a very liberal agenda and his far left / socialistic philosophy and ideals are painfully obvious. Also obvious that he is probably the most philosophically radical President we have ever had.

I think we can start calling him Pres. Chickenlittle. Everyday he has more news about the sky falling on Friday if he doesn't get his way.
