I don't care what his party affiliation is I would vote for him. This is nearly a 28 minute video but every second is worth watching. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2013/ 02/07/dr_benjamin_carson_addresses_national_prayer_breakfast_criticizes_obamacare.html This message has been edited by BeWare on 02-08-2013 at 05:08 PM |

Looks like the Wall Street Journakl agrees with me. Ben Carson for President The Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon has two big ideas for America
Seated in view to his right are Senator Jeff Sessions and President Obama. One doesn't look happy. You know something's coming when Dr. Carson says, "It's not my intention to offend anyone. But it's hard not to. The PC police are out in force everywhere." Dr. Carson tossed over the PC police years ago. Raised by a single mother in inner-city Detroit, he was as he tells it "a horrible student with a horrible temper." Today he's director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins and probably the most renowned specialist in his field. Late in his talk he dropped two very un-PC ideas. The first is an unusual case for a flat tax: "What we need to do is come up with something simple. And when I pick up my Bible, you know what I see? I see the fairest individual in the universe, God, and he's given us a system. It's called a tithe. Not surprisingly, a practicing physician has un-PC thoughts on health care: A version of this article appeared February 9, 2013, on page A12 in the U.S. edition of The Wall Street Journal, with the headline: Ben Carson for President.
Carson was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised by his single mother, Sonya Carson.[1] He struggled academically throughout elementary school, but started to excel in middle school and throughout high school. After graduating with honors from Southwestern High School, he attended Yale University, where he earned a degree in Psychology. In 2008 our nation elected a man who was a great orator but had no practical experience His only talent was to offer platitudes and empty promises...... In 2012 the promises were still unkept but by then multitudes had become dependent upon the government for their basic needs and so our nation re-elected the great orator to a second term and turned away a man with a proven leadership track record.... Dr Carson is a great speaker but that doesn't make him presidential material. JMO |

Saw him on FOX last night, He would make an excellent president. Down to earth logic, and PC be damn. Had Obama stirring in his seat, caught of guard as to what he was saying, plus standing ovation.. |

He was great. I would like to see and hear more from him for sure. Basic, plain talk and common sense is so refreshing, compared to what we get from our current leader ------------------ |

The liberals are now saying what the Dr. said was inappropriate, and he shouldn't have said these things in front of the President. If the truth hurts, tough. F*@# Political Correctness. Dr. Carson has all the makings of a Great President. If all the politicians would cut the B.S.,and fashion themselve like him, our country would be in much better shape. |

Dr. Ben Carson On Criticizing Obamacare: "Somebody Has To Stand Up To The Bullies" DR. BENJAMIN CARSON: There are a group of people who would like to silence everybody and have everybody go along to get along, but that's not going to be very helpful for us in the long run, in terms of solving our problems. And somebody has to be courageous enough to actually stand up to, you know, the bullies. There’s absolutely no reason at all that physicians, scientists, shouldn’t be involved in things that affect all of us. We’re people who've learned how to make decisions based on facts, empirical data, rather than on ideology, and one of the geniuses, one of the real things that made us a great nation, is that we brought people from all backgrounds into the legislative process. So that all of us would be able to place our interests there and we've gone significantly away from that. ### ### And if you and you talk to most people, they mean well but they don't have much of a breadth of education, of knowledge, of understanding of what the real issues are and, therefore, they listen to pundits on television who tell them what they're supposed to think and they keep repeating that and pretty soon they say, 'Oh, well that must be true.' |
