"The decision by First Lady Michelle Obama to leave on schedule for her two-week Hawaii vacation and not wait a few days for her delayed husband will probably cost taxpayers more than $63,000 – and possibly well in excess of $100,000 – in additional expenses, according to a White House Dossier analysis.

"Mrs. Obama (and the girls) jetted out to Hawaii on an Air Force C-40B Special Mission Aircraft. The Defense Department bills other agencies $6,330 per flight hour for use the plane."

[ 10 hours X $6,330.00 per hoour ] NOW, times 4 trips

"But Mrs. Obama’s determination to get her full two weeks of Hawaiian rest and relaxation probably cost a good deal more. By leaving early, she forced a large logistical support operation – including a retinue of Secret Service agents – to get itself up and running."

"This is in addition to the support that will be needed who brought President Obama to Hawaii via Air Force One. Since the cost of moving the entire family together on Air Force One would not likely have been much different than that of taking just the president, the first lady’s trip is an add-on."

"Also, the aircraft will likely have to be returned empty to Washington, potentially doubling the cost to about $126,000 for the plane use alone."

NOW,,a second trip back and forth to pick up Mrs BHO and the girls. Yup,,,another 1/4 million dollar$ pizzed away for her!

I would imagine the Presidential dog,,,,flew on another plane > Air Force 2 (Biden's plane),,,,since the first family didn't want fleas and ticks left in Air Force 1

It is estimated that President Bush spent 20 million of tax payers money on flights to his ranch in Crawford TX. The Obama's spent $4 million of the Tax Payers Money to go to Hawaii in 2011 and the tax payer tab for Hawaii this year is $7 million. In 2010 the estimated tax payee cost for them to go to Hawaii was 1.5 million. That's $12.5 million on just three of their trips. I have read that it is estimated that in 2011 Michelle Obama's vacations cost the tax payers $10 million dollars. Lets assume that includes Hawaii. That leaves $6 million. So for three trips to Hawaii combined with Michelle vacations expenses for just 1 year that's $18.5 Million dollars. I am sure when you factor in all other Obama vacation expenses they will far exceed $20 million in their first term in the Whitehouse. George Bush was considered expensive and they are on pace to double or more what he spent on vacations. Like I have said before George Bush was in many ways a lousy President and this is one of them. The Obama's are proving themselves to be far worse.
