Our son who worked for Aetna Insurance was just laid off because Obamacare. They have five kids one that is just 1.5 years old. He had worked for Aetna for approx 15 years. Obama Care has a domino effect on businesses, not just the effects it has on one segment of business, but all of the effects it has on all supporting businesses. We have a set of new rules coming up and business has to adapt. Layoffs, reduction in full time to part time employees are just the beginning, and it's going to effect everyone!! Get out the koolaide and cookies, for here comes socialism and mediocrity. |

I have friends with small businesses that are going to discotinue offering health care to employees. They are going to increase salaries and let employees get haelthcare on their own. |

Rich- Sorry to hear of your son's job loss. Not to get personal, but what reason did they give as to how Obamacare would effect the company to the point that they had to laid him off? PLEASE don't take my question as a smart alec.....I'm just curious as to their rationale. |

I just learned of this Friday night. If and when I have more details I will let you know. I assume companies dropping healthcare for their employees is a factor in the insurance industries bottom line. It is my understanding they laid off a whole level of management within a certain salary bracket to make up for projected losses. |
