I am replacing all the speakers. From what I have read, to get the best sound, I need 2ohm speakers. Also, it seems that one of the more popular speaker replacement is the 3 1/2" Infinity speakers (3032CF) which are 2ohm. Apparently, they no longer make the 3032CF and 3032CFX is the replacement which only comes in 4ohm. Will that be an issue or should I look for another speaker that is true 2ohm?

Hi Ray…
Just my 2 cents…
It’s not going to make any measurable difference in sound… I’ve done 4 ohm throughout without any issues…. The front and rear with just a 3.5 speaker takes almost nothing to drive them. Don’t sweat it and the 4ohm will do just fine… For the front under the dash and rear speakers 🔊 I recommend the
Hertz DCX 87.3 They are nearly the exact duplicate in size and will fit perfectly… They also are a bit more robust than most 3.5 and handle 60W rms
They are a very nice 3.5 and better than the infinity at that size in my opinion.

Thanks. I will look into those. Any recommendations for the door speakers?

Ok that’s a much different subject… I have always modified mine to the extent using a 3/4” spacer behind 6.5 as the additional room allows for a larger speaker when it comes to depth…. With the spacer, the door panels still fit without any modifications however, there is some drilling to fasten the spacers to the door frame. If you looking for exact fit, I will leave it to others to chime in as to what they have gone with…. I’m actually in the middle of a stereo upgrade and have the Alpine HDZ-65 for the doors (super expensive)… I have not gotten to them yet so I can’t provide install details….

Side note… I have always had good luck with infinity on the doors as well but I’m not sure of the current models on the market to know if any will work. I can say the infinity had beautiful sound… I’m hoping the Alpines are a set up…
Will shall see….

I replaced all 7 speakers 2 years ago. I used the prowler store to get the specks from the factory speakers, then replaced all with Kickers. Easy job and sounds great. Make sure you have a roll of black duct tape. Ken

I installed JBL Club 6520 (6.5") in the doors and JBL Club 322F (3.5") everywhere else. All are 3ohm.

The door speakers came with a plastic mounting ring which screwed straight to the original holes in the door and which the speakers mounted too. Simple job and fits within trim and clears door internals.
