Just an FYI if anyone is ever interested in replacements…
I think it was 2016 I had noticed the front rocker arm bushings were shot just like our front sway bars… Long story short, I found the exact (as per size needed) replacement bushings after a long search… With the new kat in the garage and after the once over, all the bushings are shot (no surprise)…
That said, turns out the rear lateral links accept the same identical bushings as the front rocker arms. I just replaced them all without issues…
Here are the part numbers if you ever need to order any ( can be found/ordered right on eBay by putting the part number in the search bar)…
Note: 15639 are the bushings…. 29606 is the removal instal tool which you just need 1 of…

Thanks Rich, I need to do a close inspection of mine. How many miles on your Prowler?

Hey Dale…
It’s a good find and should come in handy for those that care to replace them… The quality of the new bushings far exceeds what they had…
Only 1k on the new Prowler…. The bushings they used will fail just by time and not mileage ( the same as the front sway bars)… I’d bet everyone’s are shot at this point… Side note… My brother also purchased a candy with just 2k miles the same day as me and after seeing mine I checked his and they are gone as well….
I replaced all of his after completing mine….. I also replaced them in the rocker arms on both cars while I was at it… 20 bushings!!!! My arms are shot LOL as I don’t have a hydraulic press and went old school with a vise and Amazon bushing removal set…. It all worked well… PS, heavily grease the links and bushings on the install as it will help a bit…

You can order them vendor direct ship from Summit Racing. I recently sent a set to Europe for an owner over there.

I believe there was a design change of rear lateral links starting in 2000.

Does this bushing fit pre-2000 or post-2000 cars?

Very good question… I’m not sure… I have only used them on my 01 & 02’
I don’t have any experience with earlier years….

This bushing is for the front suspension rocker arm. The rear upper lateral links changed in very late '99. you can identify them by the bushings. A friend makes replacement links.

I just completed changing the boots on the lateral links. Cleaned and regressed and checked for wear. All good for $50.

If pressing parts together freeze the bushing and heat the link.😁
