Hi Everyone, new to the site and prowler world (very excited as its finally a bucket list car for me) anyway! there will be lots of learning and questions along the way (please be nice).....any one removed the loud warning sticker/print from them? what product or procedure is safe to use with out damaging the material. Can it be done? Thanks! |

quote: Lots removed them & some covered them with decal Go to search feature here and search sunvisor decal or warning label It should bring up the post from over 20 years ago It might not be as easy today as 20+ years ago Was talking to Tom Mills ( listed vendor on this site) he had decals & think he told me last week he still had some Congratulations on your car purchase Now sign up for event in September ------------------ |

I used 'black color shoe 'dye'....two cotes did the job as I recall. . Later on, removed sun visors to get better vision. Buy high quality sunglasses.. This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 07-01-2023 at 07:32 AM |

I removed the visors & put the screws back in. I think the car looks much better when the top is down without the visors sticking up above the windshield frame. ------------------ |

acetone used sparingly ( a little on a rag) will remove the warning labels completely and quickly. Do not use a lot of pressure. You may have to wet the rag sveral times as the accetone dries out. Then with a little vinyl treatment (I use Lexol) the visors look perfect. |
