The 1997 & 1999 cars did not have a boot.
The 2000 & newer cars got a chrome bezel with a leather boot.
The chrome bezels and boots are difficult to find used, and expensive when in good condition.

I made a custom bezel by dremmeling out ll the plastic where the '99 upside-down "T" slot is and then took a leather boot from an '89 Corvette and attached it from below ... using stock shifter, it still resembled then a stick shift - never did like the '99 "T" slot and wasn't a fan of the chrome bezel .... custom work personalizes the car and makes it "part of you".

Ended up ditching the cans all together. I have these tips only on with self tappers rt now, might try a few before I drag the welding setup out. Next rainy day I will install the plugs.

Wow...Ed you pulled some stuff up from the past...lol...defiantly educational.

I haven't had any issues with my Cold Air Intake, maybe the Viper Side panels.

Just me thought

I am going to leave them. I am going to fab a custom grill using the same mesh soon. Garage floors being done Monday so shes going to my Mothers house for storage tomorrow. The pics really don't do it any justice. Late next week I am going to get cracking on the grill. I'm sure we'll meet one day you'll get to see it in person.

That is chalk and cheese by comparison as they say in the classics. The garage is looking gorgeous and is now fit to host a man of substance in the style to which he can become accustomed. Nice job!

The only draw back is, you now have to keep the floor clean. If you pull in after driving in rain, can be a mess, but it is still worth it. Enjoy!

looks great

Make the space so much brighter

But the bad thing is it makes it another room in the house and you will be moping the floor......LOL

Loved my epoxy floor in my garage

They broke the mold when they made my wife, she vacuums and if necessary mop's whenever needed. I own a high ranch and the entire ground level was done the same. This is the view from inside. You are definitely correct on the brightening up comment. You're garage looks great, I have to find a mini prowler! Its brighter with the doors CLOSED than it ever was with them OPEN!! Have to take a new pic now that the floor is done.
