The seller has been an ebay member for 9 whole days.....

OH, BTW.....I bought an item on ebay about two weeks ago and used my PayPal account to pay for it. I then had second thoughts and promptly CANCELLED the order within an hour.

Within minutes after cancelling I received a confirmation from ebay that my purchase HAD BEEN cancelled as requested and that a refund would be made shortly....

Yesterday, I got another email from ebay stating that they were "unable to process a refund" to my PayPal account and that "I" should CONTACT THE SELLER DIRECTLY TO GET MY REFUND! ….

Here's what their email said:

"We're sorry to say that we couldn't cancel your order because the refund to your PayPal account failed. Please contact the seller".

I immediately fired off an email to tell them that that was UNACCEPTABLE, that I had no idea what their cryptic statement "the refund to your PayPal account failed" even meant, and that I want my damn refund FROM THEM since my payment was made to ebay, not the seller!

....I've received no reply......GRRRR

Speaking of recent scams. My Discover card got hacked, skimmed or whatever they call it. Discover sent me an email on Tues. afternoon asking if I had made the 3 transactions listed. I remembered the one big one but there were two for $ 1 each, at gas stations. Turns out they used my card in Las Vegas at a Shell station, which I never use and I wasn't in Vegas two days ago, so that was a clue. The other one was legit but wasn't for $ 1, of course.
I got a new card by FedEx from Discover today.

Skimming cards at gas stations is a big deal around here. That is the second time mine was compromised. Are any of you having a problem with cards getting skimmed?

ED I got scammed last year from a gas station two times in one night first one was $1000.00 then 30 min later $1500.00 .The bank got the money back but it took 2 weeks .. I went to the gas station to tell them about it and they told me no way ?? Never bought gas there any more .. I had to eat bread and butter till my next ss check came in ...
