I am looking for someone who lives near West Union, Iowa. (Northeast corner of Iowa) I want them to go to a private residence in West Union and check out a car there I want to buy. (I live in California) The car is a 2005 Cadillac XLR. This is a sports car Cadillac made from 2004 to 2009. It is built on a Corvette frame. A man in West Union has the car I am looking for. He says it is in A1 condition but I need someone to go there and verify this. If you can do this please phone me so I can make arrangements with the seller. My phone 928 345 4626. Thanks. George Johnson

I used WeGoLook when I bought my Prowler:

https://wegolook.com/

They did a great job but you need to be aware that they are only a visual inspection company. They make no mechanical inspections period. They took about 50 pictures and spent about an hour going over the car. They also took a short video of the owner (dealer) driving the car for me (video was +$10). They also take pictures things that could be wrong, which was hard for them as this car was truly mint. They did miss a scrape on the front wheel rim, but I did not expect a $1000 inspection for $110.

I consider this a good first step, then you might be able to find a mechanic in their area to do the mechanical inspection.

Just my $.25 worth (that is two cents adjusted for inflation).

How soon do you need this done? Can make the trip, but not until maybe next week ... am very familiar with XLR - have a good friend retired from the Bowling Green plant where they were built and he has one too ... sweet rides! What color?

Lethia and I did own this one,,,, absolutely the best car ever owned. Rode like a dream, great gas mileage, luxury supreme, and a real head turner.

A Corvette in a Tuxedo

Built at the Bowling Green Corvette plant, but did not go down the assembly line. XLRs were hand assembled in two rooms, with huge glass window so people touring the plant could watch the assembly process.
