Can anyone verify the correct oil filter for these cars? I have a 2000 and all my local parts stores are giving me the Mopar oil filter number MO-090.

When I went to change the oil filter out yesterday the MO-090 filter was quite a bit larger than the oil filter currently on the Prowler. I decided not to change the oil until I could verify the correct oil filter. Looking at the MO-090 oil filter, it looked like it would not fit the engine block because it was too large in diameter.

Can someone please give me a correct part number for the oil filter? Otherwise what are you guys using for filters?

I use WIX 51515 quart size, one of the best you can buy.

Drew is correct,,,,,that is the OEM Mopar filter to use,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and is used on many other Chrysler/Dodge vehicles.

WIX is another fine filter to use ,,,, is also packaged as a NAPA GOLD and CARQUEST filter at those parts stores.

Be careful of the oil sending unit which can be easily damaged since it is very close to the filter.

A lot has been written about the oilfilters. My best experience use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 10W30 with a
Purolator PureONE, P/N PL14670, it contains an anti drain back valve and will help reduce oil chatter at startup.

look it up in the search section.
