The owner said "why don't you put a couple air ride shocks on the front so you can lift the front end 4 inches if needed for driveways?" I said where can I buy them. He said if you have an extra front shock to send them they will make a pair for you. The problem is where to mount the tiny air pump. Maybe the trunk? Does anyone have a blown out shock or a used one willing to donate to send Air ride?

I was told it would make the prowler ride really rough if you pumped it up, but it would only be used for a few seconds at a time. comments please.

The speed shop had air ride shock for older cars but to get the correct fit without altering anything it would have to be custom made. I have no idea how much money we're talking about. I think a lot of owners would be interested

mounting the pump and running the plastic tubing to the shocks would be a small task. Running the wire to a switch in the cabin would be another small job. Other than that,I don't think changing the shock out would be to bad.

He said sooner or later you're gonna drag that front end,I agree.

Gort ,,,,

IMO you should just 'bag-it' all the way around....lift it up for the driveway and speed bumps, while you can drop it on the 'ground' when at car shows > "sled style"

You'll be one of a kind,,,,not that you aren't already

That would be a big job since the bags are very large in diameter. The air pump would be many times larger than I mentioned. Not really interested in the lowrider scene, I just want to be able to raise the front 4 inches if needed for a few seconds. Sorta like Viagra...

Now..you'll remember this post.

BTW..If you owner a Prowler you are a one of a kind already.

We might even be called an attention W....

Not much room for airbags.
