Just curious to see if anyone has attempted using the Thule Cargo Box that mounts on a standard trailer hitch...would obviously prefer weekender but seem difficult to locate..

Never heard of anyone using one. They look like they are pretty big at 50.5”L x 24.3”W x 23.5”H and could easily overload the Prowler trailer hitch weight of 100 lbs. Max.

I investigated this, but finally found a weekender for sale. Just needed repainted. I found some others that weren't quite as big... will try to find info-I don't recall the names offhand..

I use a PT Cruiser luggage rack with a Prowler cargo bag. Folds up like the Prowler rack. It is chrome and well made.
