Upper, top right side >> click on " search "

Type in headers,,,,search all forums,,,,any date and you'll find lots of opinions.

The POA 'search' feature is a wonderful thing, and may be faster than waiting for a reply?

My Kat had headers on it when I bought it and I don't care for them at all. I have since obtained stock parts for someday.

In MY OPINION installing headers is often asking for problems regarding exhaust leaks.

I sincerely doubt that simply by adding headers alone you will notice any benefit in performance.

Research this carefully prior to making the decision then if you proceed, save all parts that are removed. JMO

The OEM exhaust manifolds were designed for excellent flow and scavenging. Adding headers will provide only a minimal gain in power. You can R&R the muffler with a flow thru 'X' type. A 24" version is a straight retrofit.

Someone has a prowler that has the header pipes coming thru the panels and going into side mufflers. I thought I kept the photo but can't find it,maybe someone will post a photo.

Had Belangers installed on mine. Did notice the temperature gauge runs a notch or so cooler than before. Did not notice much else, really, except the Sweet Thunders are louder.
