Anyone doing any mods right now? Who's falling asleep at night, thinking about the mods they're doing the next day?

If you have a heated shop, now's the time to do them to be ready for spring. I'm doing a few things. Time consuming but fun. 2 Tom Mills window kits are one job I'm doing.

I just painted my four center caps satin black to match my wheels that are powder coated black. That's about it for now.

Installed Borla tips, last weekend.

Looking for a good Vertical Doors installer. Hopefully in the next month,

And some other minor mods.

I tried it twice and couldn't get it to move around the compound curves so I returned the borrowed caps with a spare piece of chrome wrap so he could try it himself. I hate it when I fail.

Can't think of any mods I would like at this time.
But now that you mention it, maybe some further thought is granted.

I do not think you failed, I think the material you were trying to wrap with was not flexible enough for the compound curves on the center cap.

Hi Beachcat... more like nightmares worrying about rebuilding this. I want the front end polished or chromed, I'm planning to fit polyurethane bushes and ceramic brake pads while I'm at it. NOT refitting front bumpers and have bought polished stainless fairings to fit. I also fancy Budnik Teardrop wheels if I can find some way of importing them over here. Budnik are slow at answering my mails so far - anyway heres a pic of the project as I progressed - all front suspension is now off and away for polishing and chroming.

Lol ProwlerFan. Don't worry. It's one of the easiest cars I've ever worked on. You just have to be careful about all the little breakable bits. I've always liked Budniks, like AC's. Not sure what teardrops look like.

Can't wait to see the 4" side pipes! If you can't post them, send them to me and I will post info@mancavestuff.ca

Budnik Teardrop, not to far away from original styling and I love the hidden wheelnuts - I had a set on a previous car and the quality was superb... not cheap though.

You did not fail. You simply discovered one way not to do the job at hand. (I borrowed and modified this thought from a movie reference)

Keep in mind the following and it may change your outlook as time goes on.

There are no mistakes, only lessons.
The lessons are repeated until the lesson is learned.

The material I got came from China and since I have never worked with any type of wrap I don't know good stuff from the bad stuff. I'm sure there are different grades of it. Another thing, it is not as shiny as I hoped for.

3M makes the best wrap material. But they know it and charge a lot for it.

I've got a Tom Mills rear panel to install but can't seem to find enough time to even start on it with the new job and relocating to Iowa.

When you do install it please post a pic. I would like to see it and know how difficult to install it.

Beachcat, what kind of tires did you settle on? Are those the ones that were rubbing the frame slightly?

Those are the Nexens and they don't rub. They are the stock sizes.
