looks like we are screwed for match set tires now I just got a set of Pirelli's that are matched set but don't know how many 295/40/20's are left out there the only other match set was the Continental's now they are discontinued unless Coker takes over but doubt anyone will since there is only our car that needs 17 & 20's to match |

I just had the Continental Tires Extreme Contact DWS installed on my car. They are a matched set front and rear! Purchased them at Sullivan Tire in Nashua, NH. They got them from Tire Rack in Connecticut. They are Asymmetrical tires and look pretty good. Had to finally let my 13 year old Goodyears go to the tire heaven in the sky! |

I had this set installed last month. there is a gap at the bead, anyone else notice this. |

Does the gap go all the way around and is it just on one side? When new tires are installed they usually put a lot of air in them to make them seat against the bead of the rim. As each side seats sometime you can hear a pop sound each time they seat. I would take it back and ask questions. |

The Continentals I have are: Front: 225/45 ZR17 91W M/S Both say Standard Load Radial Tubeless Richard Jackson / Padroo: I looked at the separation (Gap) you mentioned (at the bead) and Yes there looks like there is separation both Outside and Inside. Beechcat: I have stock rims and correct tire sizes. |

Can someone take a picture of the sidewall, where it meets the rim and post it. Richard's concern is that there is a raised line about 3/8" from the rim, all the way around the tire. |

I just checked Tire Rack and they have these tires in stock for $762.00 + shipping, $67.00 to Michigan, total $829.00 . Is that a fair price? Continental Extreme Contact DWS Front 225/45 ZR17 91W Rear 295/40 ZR20 110W. Would appreciate an answer. Do you need to replace TPS? Thanks Joe This message has been edited by derosaj on 09-29-2014 at 08:21 PM |

That is a fair price and going rate for quite a while. If you don't want your light on you'll need to install the sensors as well. I wouldn't take the old ones out of run flats. Would get new ones before mounting. That's what I did. |

Took a photo with my Cell Phone - not great, IPAD Photo may be better. Gap appears to be 3/8" from wheel. It is raining here today so can't bring the Prowler to Tire Place. 1st Image: 2nd image: |

quote: Joe, If you are getting new tires I would suggest getting new sensors since they have to break down tire to install If they are the originals they are at least 13 years old and we were told 10 year life on battery Mine was still working when I replaced the tires, but they were 16 years old, so how long will they work? For the cost of the sensors think it is best if you want your tps to work. This message has been edited by WildCat on 09-30-2014 at 02:51 PM |

Ordered a matching set from Tirerack.com last night. $762.00 + $75.22 shipping to WI. $837.22 total. Will get new sensors when I mount them. Just wanted to make sure I had a set before they were all gone. |

No offense to anyone that owns them but I'm almost glad, I think they are butt ugly, nothing beats the original tread patter from the Eagals. I bought a set of Faulklands (spelling) last yr myself, and while not a great pattern they will have to do, limited selection and all. |
