Subj: Re: Prowler

Thanks for your swift response, I'm seriously interested in buying this for my Father as Christmas gift, your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others I've seen lately, I'll take it. I would have loved to come check it out my self but am currently in camp as military seer instructor for new recruits. I however squeezed out time to check this posting as all personal dealings are highly restricted here, i really want this as a surprise gift for my Father so i won't let him know anything about this until it get delivered to him and due to the fact that phone calls making are restricted......i will be paying you with my PayPal account because it's attached to my bank account and its safe and very secure way to make payment. If my mode of payment is accepted just send me your paypal email address,(Paypal ID) so i can pay in right away. I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been made, so no shipping included. I'll need your name, the pickup address or location and please include your PayPal email address for the payment and send me some recent pictures if available And if you dont have a paypal account, you can easily go to www.paypal.com and sign up. its very easy. I await your reply asap

Thanks

USAF

Yep, a scam. He is in the U S Army and everything is secret? He is a military SEER instructor.
He wants you to log into your paypal account so he can get that info, probably.
The phone call makings are restricted? Who talks like that?

Sounds like a scam although he's not asking for any sensitive info other than maybe your address.I suspect the motive would be to obtain access to your paypal account somehow.

Crap.. that is a tough one, personally I wouldn't use paypal, I would ask for a certified check and cash it before registration would be turned over. he is pulling all the heartstrings on this one... use caution... JMO

First,,,,,Thank him for his service to his country

Then explain...... In God You Trust, and all others pay by Certified Bank check before car/title being released,,,,or you'll accept CASH (all bills verified by your bank agent)

Good luck,,,use caution

Scam for sure. I received same exact thing recently when selling a car. He was texting me and couldn't talk on the phone. Sent me about 10 text messages demanding my Paypal info, I told him Cash or no sale and stop answering his text.

I don't trust PayPal. A few years ago someone charged my credit card, twice, $1700 through it and simultaneously took the same amount, twice, out of my checking account. I eventually got my money back but it was a hassle. PayPal ISN'T safe. The bank told me this happens frequently.

MONEY TALKS, B.S. WALKS ! Even Certified Checks can be bogus. Once your bank has money in hand and in your account, only then does the transaction complete..

Cashier's check,,,Certified Bank check, or even a Postal Money Order could be bogus.

I've found a Bank to Bank wire transfer of funds from the buyer's bank to my bank account/bank manager direct,,,,has worked well for me. I keep one, small savings account with very little money within,,,,that I use to receive a wire transfer payment.

Unless you've received another offer besides the one in your first post than this is definitely a SCAM.
Try typing into google the first few lines of the message you posted and you'll find that this same line has been used in many instances over the years.
