As far as I know , the MSO can only be Issued by the builder. Seems odd , they would not issue you one with your purchase. Does it meet all your country requirements to be road worthy ? This message has been edited by phil2237 on 10-22-2013 at 08:33 PM |

I've seen concept cars sell at Barrett-Jackson. The auctioneer always says this does not meet requirements for legal driving. I don't think they even have a VIN number, each car is a one of a kind. Many are not totally functional. I don't think you can get a MSO. I'd try a builders title as if it were made from parts or a kit car. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080311170241AAJZXeN This message has been edited by Gort on 10-22-2013 at 09:01 PM |

Hi again, Thanks for your reply Phil2237 & Gort. Well i didn't mention some things earlier which is the car i bought if from Mecum auctions and now was supposed to be the shipping procedure when the MSO problem popped up. In my country its a no problem, It's like if you know someone he'll pass it for you just like the old days, I mean seriously they don't even have any knowledge that its a concept and can be entered with no issues ! The only problem now is that for it to leave US shores. So i thought of something but i don't know how will they react ! And its by saying that i would be shipping it as an art object ! what do you think ? Oh yeah and the vehicle does have a chassis number ! And at Mecum they sold it as a "Bill of sale" which i am aware of. |

quote: Was it at Mecum here in Chicago/Schaumburg, IL a week or so ago? What car was it, were you there too or a phone buyer? I was there ... saw a couple go as on "bill of sale" only - and they were Midget SPrint cars - not for street use, and no MSO. |

FORD built hundreds of Mustangs for Bondurant Performance Driving School.........no MSO's > sold for off-road use only > no VIN#'s. I would imagine that 'concept' cars fall in that general classification and aren't intended for street use? Possibly, in the small print on Mecum's sale information on that vehicle, it may have stated that information? A chassis number may not be the same as a VIN# Good luck......... |

Mr Prowler, Your in luck. This is exactly what my company does. I process documents for freight fowarders and steamship lines for rolling stock to depart from the United States. I have been doing this since May 1999. I will send you a PM with my company information and email address. The process your refering to is U.S. Customs Exodus Validation for rolling stock cargo. All rolling stock must be VALIDATED by U.S. Customs before it can be exported from the United States. Send me an email and I will help you through this issue. |
