243 lbs. for one Vespa. Still debating the color. Only one will be hauled.

Is this to much of a load for a trailer hitch carrier to haul on my Prowler? I'm not sure how much a modified carrier would weigh.

THANKS. Just in the talking stages. My wife says if we go to the beach for a weekend we'll need this.

Maximum tongue weight for a Prowler hitch is 100 lbs. Maximum trailer weight is 1000 lbs. Get a small utility trailer to put the scooters on. In my opinion, it's the only safe way to do it. Remember, the hitch mounts to an aluminum frame.

Well, scratch that idea. Thanks, that's what I wanted to know.

He is correct,

But I remember a guy I went to school with joined the Air Force. At one point he had a small street motorcycle and a VW bug, bought some kind of carrier that mounted the the bug and the front wheel of the motorcycle mounted in to tow it. The rear wheel was on the road. Don't know how well it worked but he headed off to Montana with it.

Don't know if you could do this or would want to, but you shouldn't put a carrier on the rear and then the scooter, asking for damage.

Looks like a cool little scooter

I see no reason you couldn't drive the Prowler to the beach and let her follow on the Vespa. lol
