Well we know what's under it, so I don't think it is connected there. It could have a tube off the back to connect to air tube behind motor.

I think I see linkage( could be fake). My question is where is the air filter, inside the scoop?

Looks nice Terry. The top of your motor looks a little different.

WOW Terry! That 'look' is Fantasic! Clean, understated Attitude!

What's involved in making that change (I'm not that adept at car mechanics)?

Are all of the modifications right on top of the engine (I.e. 'easy') or much more involved? Did you notice much change in performance?

Not counting the hood changes, what does such a change run? $1000? $10,000?

Thanks for sharing the pix! Definitely one for my Santa's List ...

There is way more than meets the eye on Terry's Yellow Prowler... That is the last car I did and shipped to Florida and it has the Trick 5.0 under that Killer intake that you see... The car is not only show but it is also big time go... There will soon be another thru the hood 5.0 running around in Florida and that is Ed's... Here is a shot of his engine with Prowler Girl Christina.. onecatnodog

One Cat ...

5.0 ... does that mean you put a new 5.0 litre engine in the Kat PLUS the intake? SWEET! So I guess it is more like the $10,000 than the $1,000 ... probably out of my price range ...

Drooling in Northern California,

Oh, wait ... I just found some more aluminum cans! I just might have enough $$$ soon after all!

BeachCat, There is vented side panels for the car along with a hood but when testing a brand new engine to keep a closer eye on it they are left off... The 5.0 is not a FORD engine as I think that is what you are talking about Bob.. It is a bored to max sleeved 3.5 Prowler engine with a off set ground and welded crank and some very special head gaskets and special rods to make it all possible..

Onecat put it in another prowler to test it before shipping motor back to Florida.

It was a little pricey (quite a bit more than $10K), but still worth it IMO. It springs from the line like a cat.

I do have lower ratio gears, which also helps the increased displacement motor leap my Prowler off the line.

OneCat is the one to contact for more info.

It's good to see OneCat posting "authentic" OneCat pics.

That air scoop appears to be identical to a decades-old, three-butterfly design that still is available new from Mister Gasket Company.

If I recall correctly, that air scoop is designed to fit single or dual four-barrel carbureted cars --- not fuel-injected ones like a Prowler --- and its filtration is inside the scoop's polished aluminum housing.

I think the scoop's hot rodding look fits the hot rodding appearance of a Prowler reasonably well, but I'm having difficulty imagining how that air scoop easily could be made functional on a Prowler.
