Has anyone ever considered relocating the battery to the trunk, thus freeing up about 2 cu ft of storage space? I know it doesn't seem like much of a gain but you could fit cargo in there that would be about the size of an 18 bottle case of beer or equivalent. You can get those thinner hotrod batteries that could fit in the trunk. They are designed to lay flat or at any angle.I had a similar storage area in a boxter that was small but very handy. |

no, the current battery placement does not block the airflow. You would gain the size of the existing battery plus a little more height, width and length. Like I say, it's not much but it would be a nice space to have available. |

I always like thinking outside the box, but I'd be afraid of the same airflow issue as mentioned by Gort. People would be tempted to drop in something with more height like a brown paper shopping bag, airflow on a prowler is an issue with all that space between the grill and the radiator to start with. I like the idea but would worry about the temp issue until it proved itself safe. |

Part of my thought was to make a box with a lid of the maximum safe size and bolt it to the battery tray mount. |

Catfish. Once again you have crossed the line. I don't understand your demeanor. In my opinion this has gone on way too long. Something should/must be done about comments like this. |

Is there a band camp list on this forum? It's nice to look in and see who was banned and for how long and when, it if it worked or not. |
