 OOPS..Looks like I can post afterall. I'm a new owner. I'm getting an education already. I removed the wheels to clean everything reachable and broke two of the four center caps. The small clips just broke off. I tried really gently and still had a problem. I've got two coming as a replacement ,but wanting to know if theres a trick to getting them off. They're a little pricey. |

WELCOME Gort, to the POA website!! Broken chrome center caps are a common problem,,,and yes, pricey. I'm sure Ed Monahan will chine in soon on repairing the caps through his Prowler friend Dick L. ,,,, they will repair/upgrade your caps and you'll be good to go! Might send all four to them now, and save some $$$.....quick turn-around time.

Welcome aboard and congratulations. Sorry to hear of the center cap problem. The plastic gets brittle and breaks fairly easily. Here is the best solution. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum21/HTML/000020.html Use half of an old spring clothes pin to remove them. You can use some liquid soap on the 5 points as a lubricant. Don't throw away the old ones. I will buy the broken ones or send all of them to Dick to get repaired and you have some spares or can sell the repaired ones. |

Don't buy new center caps, get the ones from Ed, or send him yours for repair, will never break again, and lots cheaper than new. |

Welcome Even though you got the slowest color ...... LOL need to try and make the Rock & Roll Event, mid June. Many original owners will be there, lots of good people and that is what makes ownership so special ............ The people! As othes stated, send your broken center caps to Dick Lineman and have him repair them. Ed Monahan got the deal going, but he can point you in the right direction to getting a permanate repair ------------------
