Did the check engine light come on? Did you just get gas before it happened?

Burned or bent valve. Could have been some water in the gas you bought (water wont burn or compress). Always a lot of water in gas station tanks, at the bottom of the tank. If they dont keep the stock of gas replenished regularly then as you get to the bottom of the storage tank, you'll pump water. Driving at highway speeds after your fill-up probably was why you didn't notice the miss until you got home. JMO.

Pull the plugs and see what they look like.. While you have them out you might as well put in a new set.. Try that and see how it runs.. Buy a good set of Plugs.... onecatnodog

see if any stored codes,a egr will set a code, whats the code, then you will know how to procede.could be many things causing a miss. and a 02 sensor will also set a code.let us know what you find.if it is a 02 sensor,go with a napa sensor, they are about 40.00 less than a mopar.around 60.00 vs 105.00.you will also need to know if its upstream or downstream.i replaced mine last yr.the sensor will not cause a miss,so it may be something else.----------------- fuel- valves or plug coil.its not the egr.

If you just got gas, it could be just some water. If the station had just gotten a load of fuel the water in the tank gets stirred up. I do not buy if I see a fuel truck on the lot,but that doesn't mean they just dropped a load and left 5 minutes earlier

I would try some water disapating treatment fill up again and give it a short drive.

open your hood.look at the top of the engine you see those 6 rectangles on top of the motor, those are coils, one for each cyclinder.they provide the main spark to fire the plug.if you loosen the 2 screws on each one, and with engine running.one at a time remove, idle will change, meaning the coil is firing,if idle doesnt change when removed you have a bad coil usually.thats the first thing to ck,when you have a miss, and hope its a coil.could also be many other things that will cause a miss which im not going into.if i got paid for all the free advise over 14 yrs,i could be rich,of course you could allways pay 100.00 a hr at a dealer or repair shop.

Catfish, you probably have benefitted by some FREE advice from the other members here. You have to look at both sides of the equation.

This is the truth when I hooked up the autoxray scanner to the car and ran a scan it did not show any thing was wrong .I worked for 40 yrs at a Pipeline Compressor Station and some times we would have a problem that was hard to find like this. So I used a old trick . No coils were hot and did not see a problem with of them but when I turned out the lights with the motor running bingo I could see the coil sparking to block .. autozone $39.00 new one and good to go
