Do you let anyone else drive your Prowler either with you in the other seat or actually let it out of your sight and for how long? |

Only my wife. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have the car. We always take the car out together. |

I let my son (17 at the time) drive it home when it picked it up and to his prom 2 days later. My daughter 18-20 at the times dragges raced the Prower in Louisiana and again durign the 2005 Hot Rod Power Tour. At least a half dozen people in the office drove it to pick up lunch. One of my neighbors took his wife to dinner in it. My Wife Rebecca drove it (without me) pulling a trailer from Louisville to Lancaster PA and from Louisville to Denver for Prowker events. I let Cnote have the car for day when I working in Dallas for a convention. I'm sure there are several other POA members that drove it. |

I let my stepdad take it out alone to pick up lunch. Let my friend and both his sons drive it with me riding along. One of his son's was afraid to do anything but go around a couple blocks. Didn't want to get it out on the open road. His other son thoroughly enjoyed driving it and loved the autostick. The inspection place guy had to drive it to test the brakes. Oddly enough no other cars needed their brakes checked to get their sticker. I wasn't too comfortable with that. When he got back from wherever he went he nosed it over their 3 foot high curb. I had to stay out of the car and push it back off the curb cause my weight in the car set the nose back down on the curb. Even with nobody in the car you couldn't have slid a piece of paper under the nose. Of course the dealer's repairman had to test drive it. I think he missed nosing over the curb by 1/8" when he parked it. Either he got lucky or was one hell of a driver and knew exactly where the nose was. (I had to photograph that one.) |

Yes. Mainly family members. Both sons and my son-in-law have taken it at times. As well as my wife who drives it fairly often. |

quote: It didn't ask whose Prowler have you driven, so I didn't want to post that. Besides, somebody had to get your Prowler up to the speed limiter of 130! I really appreciaated you allowing me to have some track fun while my car was being serviced. Now if I can just get my fantasy NASCAR drivers to drive on the track the way I drove I drove your Prowler I might get more points!

quote: I knew it was trouble when you installed the seat risers for the passenger seat. She never drives me nuts when she rides with me.....but then again, I don't have the risers in my Kat. Regarding the original question. YES, I let other people drive my Kat when I trust them to behave. When at car shows or just in a parking lot and someone is admiring the car, I often offer them an opportunity to sit in the car and have their photo taken if they like. Even though it's not "Just a car" it is just a car and sharing the joy with others makes the day that much better. This message has been edited by alrtg on 03-21-2013 at 04:07 PM |

My oldest son drove it part of the way home from Fowler, IN. Sandy has driven a few times but I don't fit into the passenger seat so she rarely drives. We have taken two Prowlers to a few parades. I really had never given it much thought about who had driven it. |

Bob has driven mine a few times if we are giving rides to folks who come to Dream Cruise without their Prowler. Not because I don't want him to, he just feels they are mine and I should be driving. I let my daughter-in-law drive it once with me in the passenger seat and I let her and my son take it out one night. Another Prowler owner drove mine at Dream Cruise one year with me in the passenger seat (which was really weird to me). |
