Lot #1076 was Dick Marriott's car. Beside the Corvette powertrain there were front suspension modifications and a lot of tasteful body work around the grille and rear of the car. The car was on the cover of Super Rod Magazine. This is an interesting car.

Sorry,,,,,B-J website just lists the vehicles going through each day,,,,but not the stage order that they will go in.... Bummer, I know. Later on each day, you can go to the B-J website,,,click on the day interested,,,find the cars,,,,click on the "#Lot number" and that will take you to the page which will show what the vehicle 'sold for'.

30K Sounds about right. I don't believe it when I see one sell for really cheap price. Something is wrong. They are not as clean as the seller claims. Even if the mileage is low.

Sold for about $80K. What I don't get is how this is a 34 Ford when it has a prowler frame. I thought the frame was the core part that determines the make/year. Seems like a good way to get around the no airbags and emissions issues.

It is a 1999 Prowler with a Corvette power train installed by John Lingenfelter. The body work and front suspension were done by Chip Foose. The car was on the cover of Super Rod magazine. It hammered done for $72K plus buyers fee. No clue as to how it ended up titled as a '34 Ford unless it was to get around the emissions certification in California. Dick Marriott had the car built while he was on the board of directors of GM.

Check out the rear end on this car:

Description: Price $79,200.00
This car was designed and built by the famous Chip Foose. This car started with a brand new 1999 Plymouth Prowler, then stripped down to the bare all-aluminum chassis. This is where it all began for Chip Foose and crew. Chip Foose called on well-known engine and performance builder John Lingenfelter to build the massive LS1 Corvette engine for this one-of-a-kind build. The aluminum chassis was stretched and reworked to accommodate the LS1 and the 4L60E automatic transmission. The rear end was fitted with the C5 rear independent suspension. The body was then hand fabricated by Chip Foose himself and painted in flawless black, then Chip put his final touch of custom flames over the black paint. The wheels are one-off design by Chip Foose for the build. Dan Fink was brought in to help design and build the custom one-off '34 Ford grill to accent the front of the car. Interior done in stunning tan leather for the hand built seats and door panels. The windshield and dash are carryovers from the Prowler, as the simple modern design offers a full bank of custom gauges. This car was featured in a 5 page ad in Super Rod Magazine in April of 2002 and then featured in Chrome and Flame Magazine in 2003. From the Richard Marriott Collection.

Is it just me or does the rear axle seem to be a few inches forward of a standard prowler?
