Lot #1076 was Dick Marriott's car. Beside the Corvette powertrain there were front suspension modifications and a lot of tasteful body work around the grille and rear of the car. The car was on the cover of Super Rod Magazine. This is an interesting car. |

Sorry,,,,,B-J website just lists the vehicles going through each day,,,,but not the stage order that they will go in.... Bummer, I know. Later on each day, you can go to the B-J website,,,click on the day interested,,,find the cars,,,,click on the "#Lot number" and that will take you to the page which will show what the vehicle 'sold for'. 30K Sounds about right. I don't believe it when I see one sell for really cheap price. Something is wrong. They are not as clean as the seller claims. Even if the mileage is low. |

quote: Sold for about $80K. What I don't get is how this is a 34 Ford when it has a prowler frame. I thought the frame was the core part that determines the make/year. Seems like a good way to get around the no airbags and emissions issues. |

It is a 1999 Prowler with a Corvette power train installed by John Lingenfelter. The body work and front suspension were done by Chip Foose. The car was on the cover of Super Rod magazine. It hammered done for $72K plus buyers fee. No clue as to how it ended up titled as a '34 Ford unless it was to get around the emissions certification in California. Dick Marriott had the car built while he was on the board of directors of GM. |
