What were the most functional mods you have done to your kat?

I am not talking about looks but function.

I have a couple in mind but want to see what everyone comes up with first.

Bored and stroked motor, long tube headers, definitely "cool" air intake via Hiborn scoop, gears

See if you can find my "cool" air intake in this pic. It is well hidden. Red blooded males have no chance.

New state-of-the-art sound system, new amp, new speakers, sub-woofer, etc. Got rid of the CD changer. Have everything on my iPhone/iPod that connects with the new system. Even my iRadar detector uses Blue Tooth to hook up with an app on the iPhone. Not really what you would call a performance upgrade, but an enjoyment upgrade for sure...

Oh, and a 5.0L Stroker engine that I also consider an enjoyment upgrade.

I would but the parts are all hidden. The sensor is a metal tape band on the inside of the nose. The relay is tucked away behind where the bumper mounts and the speaker is hidden under the dash.

Here's a thread on it

For me way too many functional mods probably more than 100 ! Sometimes I look at it everything going on and say maybe too many ha ha! Getting them all to walk, talk spin and cool in perfect harmony is the fun. I think i like the way Terry's hood looks the best above.

For prowlers I agree with the above best in mind are
1.gears
2.headers
3. Ceramic brakes
4. Door widener
5. Cold air intake

Contact Bill (Prowl97). They're only something like $9.95, but are not pictured on his site.

Door wideners or door spacers are added behind the door checks I believe they are called and make the door open wider. If your doors don't open very wide you install these, some people use washers but I bought mine for $10 and it is the most practicel and cheapest mod I have done to my car. It makes life a little easier. I have big feet and I don't kick the door panel as much. I will look around and see if I can provide more information. Some people do some cutting on the door stops to make them open even wider.

This is one of the door mods.

The Larry Lord Wonder Bar was one of my other favorite mods and made the car ride so much better.

My folding rack for traveling is another mod that makes life easier when you travel. You don't always want a trailer for short trips and if you have a hardtop you will want a rack, a weekender or a trailer so you don't have to get into the trunk except in an emergency. My opinion only!
