Dave, up here, film companies pay $500 to $1500 per day depending on how the car is used. If it just sits there in the scene its $500 and if the actor drives it in the scene its $1500. They also pick it up and bring it back. That's for a period, stock vehicle.

A prowler, being an exotic, would probably get more.

Our club just got an email on this from a company filming a TV series.

I can't answer that one Dave. When I spoke to them, he said they provide a certificate of insurance but I never saw it. I suppose you could ask to be a named insured but they might not do that. You could also ask your broker for advice.

My brother has a 34 Ford kit car that looks real until you look inside or open the hood, wire wheels and wide whitewalls.
I don't know the whole story but it was used in a bank commercial somewhere around Pittsburgh. He drove it to where they were going to use it and people dressed in period clothes drove it up in front of a big mansion. I don't know what they paid him but he got a kick out of the whole thing.
