Was out running errands in the Candy Cat today and it was non-stop attention! An older woman in a PT Cruiser pulled up next to me in a parking lot and asked me what kind of car it was. She said she'd never seen one!!! An older gentleman in a Cadillac suv pulled up next to me on the road and gave me the OK sign with a big grin on his face. At another store, a man and his wife and their grandson were looking at the car when I came back out of the store to leave and I spent 15 minutes answering all his questions about the Prowler. He said, "you sure know a lot about the car, maybe you should write a book"!! lol!

This car sure does make people smile (especially me)!!!

The first one I saw made my heart beat twice as fast, an inherent affect of the Prowler. Passengers have told me many times I was being filmed or pics were being taken I didn't even know about cruising down the fwy. I figure they see what I see in this beautiful automobile.

When I picked up my 99 from the dealer I had to drive about 8 miles to the Interstate. As I got to the top of the ramp an 18 wheeler blew his horn. I thought he was telling me I was in his lane or ????. I was ready to flip him off when I looked and he was giving me the thumbs up. I had driven the car about 10 miles before my first thumbs up.
Back in 99 they were extremely rare, even more so than today.
Last week-end I was told by a guy that mine was the first Prowler he had ever seen. Unbelievable but true.

Gotta tell you of all the car's I've owned I get more looks and questions on The Prowler than any other. I have to say it's definitely a keeper.

My experiences also. Not even close. More smiles/mile than any vehicle, exotic foreign sports cars included!

Just the other day I drove ours to the grocery store. Several people asked me what kind of car it was and said it was the first they had ever seen.

Whenever I am walking back to our car after parking somewhere I still think to myself that it one freaking cool car. It still turns me on after 13 plus years.
I have owned a 29 Ford Hot Rod, Muscle cars, several Antique Autos and three motorcycles. None have come even close to my enjoyment of this car.

After all the years, owning the Prowler, it is still a thrill drive and talk to curious onlookers. I have parked next to cars three times the cost of my Kat and it still gets more attention. I find, however, at local "cruise-ins" there seems to be little interest in the Kat. The age group seems to show more interest in the '70's, etc. So be it. I think my Kat is more reliable than those "modifides" and "garage queens" that only come out to shows.

Back in '03 (?) when CJ set up the deal for us to lead the parade into Auburn, IN for the huge Auburn, Cord & Duesenberg show, we were parked 1/2 block from the Court House Square. On the square were about 100 cars, all authentic, no reproductions. While we were eating lunch there was a line waiting to take their pictures with the y Prowler the ENTIRE time we were in the restaurant. The cars down the street were worth millions of dollars in a few cases. The car that set the 24 hour endurance speed record back in the 30s was there. I think it averaged 151 MPH back then. RPL told me the story back than and later as we were leaving another guy pointed it out and repeated the highlights of what Bob had told us.
The Prowler was holding its own against some awesome cars.

I noticed little kids are drawn to the Prowler. They point and smile ear to ear. I guess they think it is a Hot Wheels car or a Matchbox car all grown up!

I believe pure Hot Roders for the most part are snobs.
Rat Rodders only like Rat Rods, Antique Owners only appreciate antiques, Chevy owners think only Chevy's and probably only a certain model or year are cool.
True draftsmen, guys who built their own car from scratch, Non-owning car enthusiasts and kids appreciate anything well done,
Having built several cars, I like anything that is well done, whether I would drive it our not. JMO
