I was offered a 1997 Prowler media pass out but have no idea what it's worth. I'll discribe it the best i can and if anyone can help me out with info about it and an idea of what it is worth I would greatly apprecate it.

It is a silver tube that looks like a piston. Both ends can be opened. Inside is a purple Prowler in a silver felt bag a long with a promoton brochre. Unfortanatly the prowler picture has been cut out of the brochure.

Any help would greatly apprecated.

Joe, this is the item you are referring to.

It is one of first media pieces that was sent out to perspective customers. It could be termed "rare". It's difficult to know what the value would be. There are people who spend large amounts of money to obtain pieces like this. I can't give you a figure, but perhaps some of those who have acquired one can help you with that.

The fact that the prowler picture has been cut out certainly diminishes its value. However, the brochure can be replaced (I can help you there). It also should have had the original customer letter with it. I believe the tag was attached to the bag. The pin could possibly be replaced also. Bottom line, in my opinion, I wouldn't pay top dollar for it.

Did the person offering it state what they feel the value is?

I just did a search on the site and found this thread that will help you with more info.

They used to be in the $ 400.00 to $ 700.00 range. Today....It's hard to tell as the economy took away allot of interest in collecting as it's more important putting food on the table & paying bills. Definitely has a high value so take good care of it.

The other media pass out was the original press kit either with or without an aluminum presentation box. The ones with the aluminum box are numbered.

Thanks everyone. I've been on the road the last few weeks. Reason for delayed response. I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks Again

I don't know. that's what I want to find out. Before they went on sale I was regularly calling the 1-800-plymouth number getting updates and they offered to send me a press kit for only $25. Not knowing any better, I told them I wasn't press and didn't need a press kit, I just wanted to keep updated on when and where they were coming out so I could get one. Thru other calls, they did send me the purple tube and the piston tube (without car or pin). I hate to say it, but I think I eventually threw the piston tube away (before finding the POA). I'f I'm lucky it might be in a box in the attic. Anyway, I've always wondered what the press kit was that they wanted $25 for. I'm just guessing that it was maybe the aluminum press kit or the round plymouth kit. I was hoping someone here could shed some light on it.

Mickey, it wouldn't have been the aluminum press kit. They were originally given to favored journalists. They numbered them and there were only 500 made.

If you remember, Chrysler gave me a number of them to auction off on POA after production ended. Since they couldn't give the club money, that was a way for them to support the POA website/club.

Well, I guess that eliminates one option. Thanks CJ.
