Hi guys Some pics of Prowler at Hemmings Cruise Night. Also I added some meatballs on the sides of my Cobra. Not sure if I like em. What do you think?

I think it would look classier without the meatballs but it's probably a cobra thing that I wouldn't understand. |

Love the meatballs had them on my factory five cobra. Are they the static cling one's from finishline? |

Yes they are the static cling type from Finishline. Got em about a year ago and just got around to putting them on. Mine was manufactured by Unique Motor Cars in Alabama. What motor do you have in yours Sabyby? |

Not surprised that the Cobra to Prowler ratio is 10 to 1 where you live but what do you think of the meatballs? |

Always liked the cobra, color choice does make a big difference. It was one of the cars I thought about when I bought the prowler, I'm sure the prowler is much more comfortable to drive but the cobra sure get up and goes... |

Had those and the other ones they offer as well, also the team stripes over the fender which looked cool. It was a worked 302. Great fun that car was. quote: This message has been edited by SABYBY on 07-14-2012 at 07:43 PM |

Not bad. I would say when people first look at the car, the meatballs would be the very first thing they focus on. Certainly they are something of an attention getter. |

SABYBY, no wonder you don't sell exotics. You keep them all for yourself LOL. Awesome looking cobra. Maybe one of the nicest I've seen. Th red one is very nice also. Now that I see, with and without the numbers, I kind of like the meatballs. They add a race day look and it sounds like they are easily removable for different effects. Nice car! To tell you the truth I think it looks good with or without the meatballs. They're so easily removed and applied you can have it both ways. Maybe I'll put some on the Prowler, not. |

My Cobra was manufactured by Unique Motor Cars in Gladdsden Alabama. It wasn't ordered as a kit and there were no donor cars involved. It's built w/it's own chassis/frame and has a Jaguar rear end along with an original 427 side oiler. Really just like the originals. I have the Halibrand 15 inch wheels, P245/60 on front and 255/60 on back. Thanx for asking. |

Cobra was a big thing for Ford in 1964. I think that was the turn around year that Ford had not seen since the flat head era. The mustang came out that year but they had cars that dian't get the respect they deserved. Don't laugh but I am talking about the Ford Falcon with a 289 Called the Sprint. Sorry I got off topic. |

quote: I had a 1964 Fairlane hardtop with the 260 V8. No it wasn't the quickest car out there but it was very reliable transportation for what it was (a 10-15 year old car at the time). The cool Fairlane was the sedan version with the 427 engine known as the "Thunderbolt" but I have always liked the hardtop cars better. |

Gentlemen These are not Cobras, they are Cobra REPLICAS. Let's call a spade a spade. I owned four (4) REAL 427 Cobras in the 60s and 70s including the first 427 on the East coast # 3014 (14th built), |
