This weekend I am driving from Minnesota to Colorado to pick up the red trailer located in Canyon City, Co. I leave Friday with my truck, and will be getting the trailer Saturday. Special thanks to Colorado Prowler owner Michael Pond, who went and looked at it for me in person, and to Darryn the seller for the additional pictures.
On Saturday we will be installing the new trunk supports from LST, and the Larry Lord latch reinforcement.
Sounds like there is a Mile-High Prowler meeting at the Royal Gorge Sunday, so I am really looking forward to meeting some other Prowler owners!
Before I roll for home Monday morning, a shop in Colorado Springs is applying the 3M Clear Bra on the front of the trailer to avoid rock chips on the way home on the nice paint.
Should be a fun trip, and thanks to POA for all the information!-Billy

Billy, if you are planning on pulling the trailer with a truck you may have a problem.
The Prowler sits very low, hence the trailer sits low and if the front of the trailer is tipped up the air flow is really disrupted.
It can be done but it may be a very slow trip, staying below about 45 MPH.
Hopefully others will respond about any experience they have had.

I picked up my trailer in Buffalo NY and pulled it back to Cambridge (about 7 hrs.) w/no problem. I have a Toyota Tundra. Just make sure you have a hitch to plug into the reciever w/the proper drop so you're nice and level. I used a 6 inch drop and it was perfect. Good luck.

I just got the hitch for my Cat, so I will do a few measurements for the ball height trying to get a good match. Thank you for the suggestion!I believe I need a 1 7/8 inch ball.

Prowlin'99 Did you get the last hitch from The Prowler Store? If memory serves me correct the height from ground to trailer tongue is approx 13 inches to be level.

Silverkat, I did get my hitch from the ProwlerStore. They told me there were two left-now one. Seems they were the only ones with a hitch or wiring harness available. The dealerships could not find any in their Mopar warehouses.
Thanks for the hitch height estimate.

I don't recall what Richard Jackson was driving, it was a rental. He picked up his trailer at Marty's in Louisville and we had to come home by way of U S 42 as the trailer was all over the place.
It may have been way too high or the vehicle he was driving may have been part of the problem.

have a blast with the Mile High club and maybe a few of the Gals John shoots, too bad you will only have the trailer.

Hell drive the car it would be more fun than driving a truck.

Just make sure you use a drop hitch so the trailer pulls close to level like when behind the car.

If it is swaying some, stop by home depot/lowes and buy some play sand and put in the front of the trailer for some tongue weight, or if you have a water softner at home get a few bags of your favorite salt, double duty

Have a safe trip

This should be an excellent adventure. On Saturday I will meet Darryn, and Mike. I have heard from John Collins of the Prowler Club, and plan on meeting the group on Sunday.
I bought a 2" drop for my truck which puts me about 13" from the ground, which should be about right for the ball. If the trailer is pulling funny, I'll add some weight.
I hope the clear bra on the front of the trailer with the addition of truck mudflaps is enough to avoid rock chips on the trip home. Looks like the weather should be favorable.
