Greeting all, I have recently purchased my first prowler, a 99 red, bone stock. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 47 year old self proclaimed car guy, the prowler being my 28th car. My past cars have included corvettes, Porsches, classic mopar muscle, and smatterings of other stuff. I also have a 9 foot long custom chopper, so I am into motorcycles as well, having had 15 of them. I plan on being a somewhat active member of this site. It seems there are some very knowledgeable people on this board, and I have already learned lots, and ordered quite a bit of stuff for the prowler. Thanks |

Congrats and welcome. In addition to posting pictures of your Kat, I would also like to see pictures of your chopper. At 9 feet, it sounds like it might be old school. Us old guys won't hold your youth against you. Upper management says no bikes for me so I at times refer to our Kat as my 4 wheel chopper. Is it red or orange? Either one is beautiful but your name says orange and your post says red... |

Thanks for the warm welcome!! My 99 is red, however the color reminds me of my 70 Superbee. I restored that car about 15 years ago, and the color was an orangish red. My Prowler seems to be the same paint code. I love the Prowler red. It definitely has an orange tint to it. Fastorange is an old screenname/nickname that I have been using, since my favorite color is orange, and five of my cars and four of my bikes have been orange. |

Welcome aboard. Congrats on the new ride. It brought tears to my eyes to read you had a bone stock 99 Red. A man after my own heart. Then I read at the end of the paragraph that you already bought a lot of stuff. Oh, the disappointment. lol I had a totally stock 99 Red (except for the mods) back in the day. By the way, my kids are almost as old as you, but I digress. Try to attend a POA event and you will enchance the joy of ownership by a ton. |

Congrats on your new cat!!! The Prowler is not just a car... it's a lifestyle and with that you just inherited a big, wonderful family!! You have many (s)miles ahead of you, so get out there and prowl!!! Funny you should mention the orange/red. Early on in the life of the Prowler, many called the "red" color "tomato soup red" since it was not the "fire engine red". ------------------ The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche.

Thanks for all the welcomes!! I do like stock appearing cars. The 70 superbee I had I restored totally stock appearing, with some enhancements for better performance that would not change the looks. Not to worry Ed, I will be leaving the look of my Prowler alone for quite awhile, I hope. The stuff I bought is just upgrade stuff, (trailer hitch, door opening spacers, fuel filler upgrade tubes, front license plate bracket, seat lowering kit, ceramic front brake pads, front mud flaps) nothing that changes the look of this already awesome car. Today is a Prowler upgrade day...gonna be fun.... |

It is great to see a new entheusiastic owner. After all the vehicles you have owned, this should be a new experience. Welcome and don't take anyone very serious on this site. I won't mention names, as you will see for yourself who I mean. |

The car came from Sioux Falls, SD. Drove down and got it. It was a fun trip. Gonna show it tomorrow at a show here called Buggies N Blues. Great car show that has been going on for 18 years I think. Blues music, beer, and hot rods! |
