I know there are tons of prowlers here in Houston, but Lori and i rarely see another driving around.. today Lori and I were looking for her new car , she wants a hybrid, so we were looking at the volt.. We saw two prowlers today ,one was in the used car lot at lone star Chevrolet, Gold ,, the other was in the customer parking lot when we returned from our drive.. Red with black painted bumpers with a weekender.. Anyone know who it was??? Jim |

The red one sounds familiar but didn't know the owner was looking to sell it. They may have just driven it there to look for something else, not to trade it in. The gold one? Maybe the body shop owner on 6 near West. If it has bedliner under the nose that would be his. I'm surprised you didn't see mine out and about today too. |

I called them on the gold. They knew nothing about a red on the lot. They would not tell me anything about the previous owner due to "confidential privacy issues", yet acknowledged that I could do a title search and come up with the previous owner. Then I pointed out that if I could do a title search and come up with the previous owner, there was no privacy issues as that info is public domain. He said he was VERY familiar with the car, yet couldn't tell me what year it was or whether or not it had any kind of black under nose protection on it. But he was able to tell me that a prowler doesn't have a bed liner. Seems all he knew was that it was gold and had 1670K miles on it. When I asked if he has had the hood up, it took him about 30 seconds to utter yes. At first he said that it was a business car and the owner said he was moving his business in a different direction and that the car was not compatible with the new needs of the company. When I asked if it was a body shop, he said no. Then I said, "So it was a business vehicle then?" He then said no, it was a toy that he traded in to get a company vehicle for his new business. Story on this car sure changes alot for someone VERY familiar with it. I just love used car salesmen. We may have to sick Bulldog Randall on him to get any more info. |

IF the Gold has the Body guard protection on the nose then it must be one of the copperfield collision , he had a orange one also.. The red was there but did not say it was owned by the dealer.. Maybe someone like me looking to purchase a new car.. Look forward to see all the 9th.. |
