We stayed an extra night to see ELVIS-VIVA LAS VEGAS. Glad we stayed as it was a great show. We also took two extra days on the famous Route#66 and saw some historic sites. Arizona and Missouri were especially nice. The mother road is certainly chopped up so our research paid off. We took 239 pictures, drove 5139 miles in two weeks. I would do it all over in a heartbeat.

The road certainly shows it age...just slow down and enjoy!

Some neat scenic tourist spots. Carole especially like the skunk soup with a side of jack rabbit.

My new favorite picture of my car. Lake Mead in the background as we were on the Valley of Fire cruise. I painted/dyed my bra some 7 years ago after being told I couldn't do it myself.

We saw allot of neat restorable cars along the way. I have to thank my friend Mike Gatlin for some great tips. We bought some Rt.#66 luggage in Hackleberry, AZ and the guy had several pictures of Prowlers on the wall from the Grand Canyon event years ago.

Bruce, glad to hear you made it home safely. That trip out was the best ever, what a blast (except for the thermostat, of course.)
Post the pic of the bald eagle in Hannibal, when you can.
Sounds like you had a great trip back, also.

Bruce, I forgot you took that picture of the Mion Museum.
I never even noticed the sign, glad you spotted it.

Not only was Ed a great leader of the pack (using his 1991 Atlas Map) and getting lost daily...he put us up for a few days at his so called Ranch in the mountains. What a guy.

This was Ed's first choice on the Vegas Hotel, Glad we talked him into SouthPoint Casino instead, We just couldn't put on an event with NO running water.

Ed. If you are referring to me getting lost in the car I was following you. If you are referring to me going in the ladies room (twice)I was following Peter both times.

PS
I settled up with the Arizona State Police today.

Getting lost was a joke. Coming through Hannibal headed East was simple, they actually had signs for US 36.
