The story goes on. I see CJ's California Kid is in this article. A lot of these people don't get it.

What engine did Chrysler have back in 1997 that put out more HP than the 3.5 they used? I can't think of one. Car engines back then really didn't put out much HP as a general rule. Even the muscle cars needed aftermarket help to get good numbers.

It appears that the majority of the comments were from the teenage crowd, not anyone with any maturity. JMO

Your so right! I personally got really get tired of pretty much every article written in the last 12 years saying the same thing it should of had a V8!

Still one of the best cars out there, and more thumbs up per a mile than anything on the street.

Leave the prowler alone! you know they actually really like it just upset they dont have one!

Jaīp there are many postīs like this all over the www.

To discuss this, you should own or drive a Prowler for a wile, and own a bunch of different pre 49" Hot Rods.

I dont compare hot rods of any style and year with riseburners or even modern german musclecars.

I drive Prowlers since early 2003 and I own and owned some pre 49" Hot Rods.
Type your text hereI never missed a V8 a lot in the Prowler.
Shure, it would be nice, but hey, it is like it is.
The Prowler brings a lot Hot Rod Feeling when driving.
Cornering is nice, the ride over all a bit hard & shaking.
You sit low in the body and you are looking trough a chopped windshield over the long hood, maybe see the open wheels too.
In modern Style Hot Rodding the Prowler is still the best Ride for me. I never compared the prowler with a modern sportscars.

On long distance cruising, I use the SSR and for Classis Car & Hot Rod Shows I go with the Old Rides.
I have at the moment a oldstyle 34 ford hiboy roadster under construction, the opposite to the Prowler.
The Opposite of the SSR is my oldstyle 1940 ford pick up.
All of my 4 american rides cost less than a new porsche or mercedes.

As it goes for show, the prowler gets the most attention.

Low miles prowler are still high at the used car marked.
2001 and 2002 with under 5000miles are in many car collections. I sold my 2001 custom prowler for $ 57000.- and there was room for more...
