It's been colder than Santa's balls here in So-Cal so I have not driven my prowler in over 2 weeks.
Going to have to start it this weekend just to show some luv to it.

Compared to the rest of the country, the weather in SoCal is ideal for cruising all year round. Put the top up or turn the heater on with when it's down. Also, if you want to experience what 350+ SoCal people will be doing on Jan 1, show up for

We drive Bad Cat year round here in TN, regardless of the temperature.
As long as there is no wind, rain, snow or salt. Dry, clean roads and we are good.

It doesn't get to 115 degrees in Indiana, does it? That lasts about 5 or 6 months in AZ but they don't say much about the weather from April until October or so.

Come'on Ed,,,,its only late May to Labor Day, or so, and its a dry heat, lol.

Sunny and 65 here today, and we could see Four Peaks Mountain 50 miles away with deep, white snow covering the entire top 1/3 of the mountain. Unlike that brown, rust colored snow in Cincy,,,that you have to dig out of to drive places. Also,,,watch those potholes,,,some are bigger than that PT Cruiser.......

It was in the mid 60s here the past few days, including today. We have had A LOT of rain this year, double the usual amount. We did have snow flurries for about 3 minutes a week or two ago.
I was attempting to get the last of the leaves yesterday but it was windy today so there are more back on the lawn.
Winter hasn't hit here yet.
We probably should have played golf yesterday in Harrison, OH. It is very sandy soil down by the three rivers and it dries out there quickly.

It's going to be in the low 80's this weekend so I think I will take the Prowler to one of the local Saturday afternoon car club gatherings.

I'll have to admit the last couple of weekends I have been taking the Corvair to the shows and getting about as much attention as I do with the Prowler.

I currently own a 1965 Corvair Monza Coupe that has been off the road since it was painted 25 plus years ago waiting to be reassembled and enjoyed.

Over the years I have had many of these cars including early, and late models. Coupes, Convertibles, A Van as well as a 1962 Monza Wagon and a Mid Engine Kelmark V8 conversion.

I enjoy both the Corvair and the Prowler equally as well but the Corvair is more practical as a daily driver.

You know, right behind the driver seat is a thing we like to call a decklid. You may not know how to open it, but look for a little yellow button just under the decklid behind the driver's seat and press that button and lift the decklid. Since your car is yellow, the button blends with the car and I can see how you might have missed noticing it. You'll find a top in there that you can put up. The car also has a heater. It's located in the center of the lower dash area. Those controls can be tricky to work, but they just rotate to the various settings. The heater in the Prowler is a pretty good one and with the heat on and the top up you don't need to be afraid to start the car and make the wheels go around when the weather turns cold.
I've driven mine to a parade at freeway speeds with the top down in 45 degree temps with the heater on and was fine.
You just don't want the heater blowing on your feet or it will burn them. Best to leave that setting on vent.

Mine hasn't been out since October. Just to much weather, cold temps and chemicals on the roads here in Colorado. Come this spring though, game on!

We took ours out this past Sunday to a Christmas Party. It was too cold to put the top down. It's getting very close to having 40K miles on the clock.

This has been a bust year for me on getting the cars out. From blistering heat to now cold and cloudy weather, work schedules that have been insane, and the kid being out of town so much, we just haven't had a chance to do much with the Prowlers. I hope 2012 will be better.
