Can't promise they will have it but call a company called Unitrac, They are located in Anaheim California. They specialize in gears & drivelines only.
The last phone I had is 714 630 4327

This is the supplier I use to use for all my gear work.

If they don't have it, they can probably point you in the right direction. There is also a company called Currie Enterprise here in Anaheim California that might also be able to help.

Don

there are no 391 ring and pinion for a 741 case that i could find new. you might get a used set, but would be better to get a 742 or 489 case then you can get whatever gear ratio you want.

Randy's had only 355 or "373" for a 741 case (what i have in the Dart)I had a factory set of 3.91 but had some pitting on the teeth, so we changed them to 3.73. I wanted to keep the gears but before I got back to the garage they thru them out.

You should have no problem finding the better case

I have 3 cases and all are 741

Larry,,
I hate to change gear as this performs very well with the Dodge 518 trans with OD. I am getting 21,22 mpg. The problem I am having is a heave whine on excelration. It will be most expensive to change over to a 742. I guess I could try to reset pinion.

my 373 whine like crazy, I hate it too. Thought about putting the 3.23 back in

The 741 case has a smaller pinion bearing dia. (I think)

If they are aftermarket gears you may never get the whine out of them. Had a long discussion with Rick Allison from A&A transmissions (long time drag racer) he said many of the aftermarket gears whine and there is nothing you can do to help them

IMO, would find a guy in the area that is good with rear ends and see what they think before you go any farther

Good Luck
