Does anyone have information on a stereo with nav screen/dvd that would fit in the place of the factory stereo. I don't want to cut the dash to give me the 4" I need. Maybe there is an aftermarket dash panel that would fit. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 2001 prowler |

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_020NZ500/Clarion-NZ500.html?tp=20222 Here is one from Crutchfield.com with motorized screen, and a big price cut. They have a lot of choices and good prices. Radio space is 1.5 DIN. Not many radios/players are made for that size. At least I did not find any. I just put in a new head unit - not this one though. I only wanted iPhone compatability with USB input, etc. In dash GPS units are very expensive. I have a small Tom-Tom unit that mounts in the upper left of my windshield. Works perfectly there, and I can take it out and use it in another car, or on my motorcycle. The good news is that there are LOTS of choices out there, and prices are reasonable. Good luck. |

I have a car with an in dash nav system and they have a few drawbacks. 1. You can't do much as far as input when you are driving. Portable nav systems 1. You can program them while in your home or work and in front of a computer to enter co-ordinates and addresses.
