OK made a offer they are going to accept just need to do the paperwork. Have not had it inspected yet.

Been looking at the pictures to long anybody see anything amiss on this one. Is the weekender worth anything if I pull it off and sell it?

FYI its the right color, already in the state and they will do a option contract. there are cheaper ones in the Midwest but I don't want to go through the DMV hassle again.

Check condition of the inside of rims. Flaking is a common problem. Question window regulators. Keep weekender if you are going to travel. Good luck and enjoy.

Looks pretty clean, except for the few slight nose scratches ... hard to avoid those with even that mileage. Wish you luck in your purchase.

You are looking at another Prowler. How many Prowlers have you owned?

From what I can tell it looks like both front bumpers have been scraped on the edges, the right front fender bracket is bent judging by the way the front fender is tilted and the left rear bumper is hanging down a little, probably not lined up properly after they put the hitch on. I don't know if it's just the way the picture was taken, but the left front brake line mesh covering looks frayed where it meets the body, along with the nose scrapes that Ray told you about. All easy fixes. I would check the CD player and make sure it works. Good luck on the purchase. Tami

I know about the basics and I asking about the windows and wheels but this will be my daily driver for 6-10 months or so.

Weekenders originally sold for about $1600 shipped. I would keep it but you could probably sell it pretty easily for around $1400 shipped.

"trunk monkey" looks like color coordinated luggage...
I guess its practical since the prowler comes w/ 2 glove compartments and no trunk.

Question, did the 01 and 02 Prowlers still say Plymouth on the rear bumper? This is an 01 and it says Plymouth.

Yes and No.

The Plymouth built cars have rear bumpers with Plymouth on the driver's side. This includes the 2001's through the close of Plymouth production.

After Plymouth ceased production and Chrysler took over the driver's side bumper was left without anything there.

You will find both 2001 Plymouth and Chrysler Prowlers but all 2002 were Chrysler Prowlers.

P.S.
If you have not looked on the Home Page here on POA, you need to do so. There is a lot of interesting and invaluable information contained in the many area's like Prowler Story, Facts & Stats, and more.

i dont get it. What is there to be impressed by/about the plastic on the floor mats? or the window sticker? afraid your gonna get 'em dirty, or worn out? Some of you folks are bordering on AR. I bought an extra set of floormats and put originals away. And i doubt i'll ever even notice the missing sticker.

"I bought an extra set of floormats and put originals away"

I may be bordering on AR but at least I didn't spend any money to preserve floor mats.

Some of us like to "customize" our cats and others (like me) want to keep them as close to how they were delivered to the dealer as possible. Neither way is right or wrong. It is called personal preference. The purpose of this site is for owners to share their experiences and seek help from other members when they have problems. I have found the membership very helpful and a lot of great people come here to share with others.

I, for one, am not trying to impress anyone. I hope you enjoy your ride, have a nice day.

lionberger - you're not the only one with the carpet covering still on it. Mine has 23,819 miles on it and has the carpet covering over it still. As does my 04 Trailblazer with 79K+ on it (that I bought used).
diamondwymond - ever try taking out a cloth floor mat or door mat and try to get ALL the dirt out of it? Go ahead... try this... vacuum it. Hell, even power wash it. Blow dry it with an air hose. Then pound the back of it and see how much dirt is still in it. Keeping the carpet covering over the carpet just keeps the carpet from getting as much dirt in it. The longer you can keep it out, the longer it will look nicer, and the nicer it will look when you do remove the covering. You can park your car next to mine and I can then remove my carpet coverings and I'll bet $1000 that my carpet will look alot nicer than yours will. As for retaining the window sticker, its called provenance. It helps retain value to something nice. In some cases it can enhance its value. Hopefully, I won't ever have to sell my car. But if the day comes when I can no longer drive it and enjoy it, or am put in a position of needing money for whatever reason where I would have to sell it, keeping it in better condition and having the provenance with it will retain its resale value better.

idive-

You are exactly right. If you ever watch Barrett-Jackson, if they have a car up for auction which still has the original window sticker (I saw a '55 Chevy with one) it pulls a premium amount.

Ask your local Chrysler dealer to run the VIN number and check the service record. That would give you a better idea on previous ownership, maintenance, service, repairs and recalls.

Check the top for signs of wear, especially in the center below the window. Check the front shocks for signs of leakage and see that the coil springs are straight. Both are obvious signs that the shocks need to be replaced which can be expensive.

The ad indicates an existing warranty - check the terms. Is it from the manufacturer, the selling dealership or through an independent company? Is it transferrable to the buyer? Is there a transfer fee?

Had someone take a look at it at the dealership and send me some more photos. The fenders are lined up fine, its just the picture. Got a picture of the brake lines and they are clean.

The window regulators are shot though. Need's at least the drivers door and the passenger door is starting to make noise.

how is availability on those guys lately. Back in the day they were hard to come by and rather expensive.

Buy the Tom Mills regulators. Less expensive and superior in every way, and they won't break like the OE style.
I have them and love them.
